We are planing a one day trip to US for HHN:cool1:(its a suprise for my DS,he thinks we are not going:rotfl2:) so we did three days of US/IOA last April when we where down there. It was fun but we really only planed to go back when HP open up next year.I am depating weather to go and get the stay and play or just the genreal HHN ticket? Its not like we would not have fun but my only real reason Is getting Into the park on time to catch everything.I hered Its a mess getting In and could take a while, and because Its our only night I want us to be able to see everything! Is this possiple with just the genreal ticket?. We plan on going the 15th of Oct is this night less likely to need a stay and scream? to make sure we are In the park at opening. I cant afford the express pass so any Info would be great........Thanks a Bunch!.

The 15th shouldn't be too terribly busy, but the park will only be open until 12AM for HHN so you'll have less time to do everything. If you can, your best option is to purchase a 1-Day ticket and the "Stay and Scream" ticket for an additional $29.99 per person. That way, you can stay in the park in one of the designated areas and be stationed near the houses that open first.

In order for you to take advantage of Stay & Scream you must be in the park before it closes. You would need a regular park admission for the day and then you could purchase the discounted HHN ticket (Stay & Scream upgrade) and get a jump on the lines. I always do S & S whenever possible since I don't shell out the money for the Express pass anymore. HHN has been very busy most nights so there isn't a huge advantage in going on an off peak night any longer. Still...it's not quite as busy as the weekends. If you could get there to do S & S, you would be saving yourself some time. If not, you would need to be in line out front around 5pm so you can be near the head of the line.

So two parts (sorry frist time at HHN and want to make sure we haveIt all coverd) If we decide to just do the HHN and we are there before 5pm and right at the front or If we do the S&S are Inside before 5pm and in the stand by area Is getting everything In doeable? rides houses attractions etc,or Is going on a Fri,Sat and It being open untill 2am better?

If you are one of the first people that makes it into the park, you should save some time but not much. Here's the reason: If you decide on S & S, you would be released into the first house around 5:45pm and the outside gates won't even open until around 6:30pm. In the mean time, you can do several houses before the crowds really start to take control. If you can afford it, I would strongly recommend doing S & S mainly because of the time it will save. And going on a weekend is not the best thing to do as the lines are insanely long on Friday and Saturday nights.

Metro west, thanks thats a good point:thumbsup2. I did not reliaze they released the stand by area sooner then the gate opening.Heres another question:rotfl2::scared1: so say where In side with the S&S,does the Stand by area fill up to the point where even If you have the S&S ticket they escourt you out to come In with the rest of the crowd? and any Idea If getting everything In Is doable or does It need two days?

As the park closes, you will be directed to the holding area as they clear the park of day guests. You will need to show your HHN ticket in order to be admitted to the S & S holding area. Once inside the holding area, you can hang out until you are released into the park for HHN...which is usually around 5:45pm. The main holding area is on Delancey Street in front of Finnegan's. We usually have mini-meets there since there are quite a few DISers who come into town for the event.
