Going to HHN 10/30 and bit the bullet and bought express pass access after reading about 2-hour lines into some of the haunted houses. I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm just wondering what time I should get there. I see things get started at 6:30, should I be there to line up anytime particular before that? I could've sworn when I was purchasing the express access portion on the website it said 5:00pm for a time, but I could be wrong. Thanks!

I am almost always in the park before closing and go to the Stay and Scream area. They will open some of the houses early and you can get a head start on the crowd. We always have express pass but we try to get to all of the houses once without it then go back through with it after the crowd picks up some.

I'm always in the park before it closes and stay in the Stay and Scream area and I never go on a peak date.By doing these two things I always avoid having to purchase the Express pass. But since you're going the day before Halloween I would say you've done good by purchasing it.If you're not going to be at the park during the day and only going to be there for HHN then I would think you should be there as early as possible as I hear the crowd waiting to get in is essentially a mob.

Yeah unfortunately this is the only day that works for us and I'm trying to manage my expectations by preparing for a mob scene! :-). I had a sticker shock moment when buying the express pass, but knowing that I'm there the night before Halloween and that I only have one night to see it -- I think I'll be glad I did it. Thanks for your reassurance. I won't have a day ticket so I'll just plan on being super early. Thanks guys!

Be outside the gates as close to 5pm as possible.
