I found a site that is offereing discount tickets to HHN, although I feel a bit leary about it because you don't seem to specify a date when ordering. It's from a site called Orlando Fun. Has anyone used them before?

the place doesn't ring a bell for me.
can't say yea or nay about orlando fun.

hhn tickets are date related.

you can only go to hhn with a ticket for that actual date you will be there.

you can buy the FFP/frequent fear pass, which is for ALL the non peak nights plus the first 2 nights of the event in september.

We only have one night to go.

It's frustrating because we are NBC Universal employees and they used to offer us discounts to HHN. There was nothing offered last year. I hear all these podcasts that say it's crazy to pay full price for tickets, but that's the only site I could find any discounts on. And my husband doesn't want to risk it selling out. But I just do not think it would sell out on October 1.

I called Orlando Fun Tickets and they said that the tickets can be used on dates Sun - Thurs. But they do not have a date on them. They seem like a legit company.

Maybe I should just call Universal directly and ask about an employee discount.

ETA: Just looked up the site on the BBB and they are accredited and have an "A" rating.

since you were told the tickets are valid sun - thur, you would be attending on a non peak night. FFP/frequent fear pass is a valid ticket for any non peak night which is sold on the website.
you should be fine with an undated ticket since you are attending on a thursday.

call universal and ask if the NBC employees can get a discount for the hhn tickets.

like i posted earlier, i don't have an opinion on the place that has the tickets for sale.
you know more about that organization than i do.

if money is an issue, go with what is best for you on the tickets.

i do know there have been other nbc employees that have posted in the past and stated the discount they get for the rooms and day tickets.
might as well give it a try to see what is available for you.

i wouldn't worry about Oct 1st selling out.
it is at the beginning of the hard ticket event and you will not have any issues in getting tickets for that date.

the crowds are nothing compared to the near end of the month for hhn.

Personally I would rather walk up to the ticket booth the day off and show our work ID's, but DH likes the security of a ticket.

I went ahead and ordered them and will hope for the best!
When we went last year I think I did call Universal about the employee discount and got no where.

Now I am just going to count on all of you for your wonderful reviews the first weekend so we can set up a game plan. :)

put your date on the hhn.....when are you going thread.

you will find other homies on the date you will be attending.

i'm going the columbus day weekend for 4 nights in a row.
wish you could join us on that date.

many of us meet up at finnegans in the stay and scream holding section.
it is where we meet at 5:00 when the park closes.

when the park reopens for the event, you get a head start on the houses.
you generally can do 3 houses while it is still light out before the general admission is let in.

you would need a day park ticket in order to do the stay and scream area.
when the park closes at 5:00, those with hhn tickets do not have to leave the park. they go to the holding area.

if you are not planning to be in the park during the day, be at the front gate as close to 5 as you can and get in line.
that line opens up at 6:30 pm.
