We went on 10/26 and were fortunate enough to get the "sold out" express passes since we were at RPR. I also love the discount we recieved on our tickets for being AP holders. This was our first experience and will def not be our last. I don't have a full on review of each house or scare zone, but suffice it to say, we had an amazing time.

First off, let me say that I thought we were in for the typical rude, drunk, obnoxious, entitled, disrespectful jerks that unfortunately tend to go to events like this. We were pleasantly suprised at how well behaved most people were. For an "adult" event, we found most younger people to be respectful of others around them. I guess it's the cynic in me, because we've had some crappy experiences at IOA in the past. Sure there was some smoking in non designated areas, and a couple of bafoons that got a little out of control, but nothing that was crazy.

For those of you that say Hallowscreem is better than HHN, I honestly want whatever you are smoking. There is NO comparison at all. HHN goes down as one of the best nights we've ever had in orlando. We've had 20+ trips in the past 4 years, so that speaks for itself. $10 is expensive for a pint glass w/two shots w/rockstar? Refills were $7? That's pretty much on par for most bars/clubs and I could walk around a theme park and even take it in line with me. The staff was absolutely amazing, and the themeing/costuming/effects were mindblowing. This was also on what's been said to be the busiest night so far this year. We will be back next year, and the years after... Thanks for everyones help!

Another one comes too the darkside!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Your one of the lucky ones that got the"EP'S".. WE went without and that place was packed!!But we were lucky enogh too see it all!!

I like the fact that alcohol is so expensive, it keeps me from drinking it :) I'll have one lager at Finnegan's during S&S and that's my drink of the night until we get back to the hotel.

I agree this event is pretty awesome. I have to say though that when I was there in '05, it seemed scarrier. I actually preferred it on the IOA side. I guess that the other problem for me this year, was the delay in the scare zones, due to the rain. Oh well.... Will def. do it again, just hoping for it to be a little scarrier, and trust me I am a big wuss. I was scarred maybe 5 times the whole night. The theming however cannot be out done.

We've always been haunted house buffs and went to every one we could find when we lived in IL, so I don't know why it took us so long to start going to HHN. We started last year and were immediately hooked. This year we're chalked up 10 visits on our Frequent Fear passes already, and now that they've added the last two nights we're looking forward to closing it out.

While we've seen a few more obnoxious drunks this year than last, overall it's not enough to be a real problem. It's the sort of thing I expect at HHN. We drink too although we stop at one or two. Some of our most amusing experiences have some courtesy of those who've imbibed a bit too much (the lady who shoved a hot turkey leg down her pants comes to mind).

I don't see the prices as being unreasonable, with the exception of $7.50 for a shot (and I mean tiny shot) of Guiness ice cream...haven't figured that out yet unless it's flecked with gold and they forgot to tell me. But other than that, the drinks are on a par with what I'd expect.

Overall it's an easy event to get hooked on. I'm gonna be in mourning on Sun. and counting the days till next year!

I have been doing both events for many years now...and I am going to disagree with you..and this is just MY opinion...so please...my flame suit is currently being drycleaned...

I have already posted my review of HHN in the thread labeled as such...and my opinions were not as high as they had been in previous years..some of this was US fault, others, maybe not fully.

Last night, I went to HOS...and I was BLOWN away. Sure, they may not have the budget that US does, but they actors put there heart and souls into the event, and it SHOWS. The visuals in the house were awesome, I was scared more times than I can remember, and I walked out last night feeling I had gotten my $$ worth, which in todays economy, is important.

While I will continue to do both parks, HOS will probably always be the best for me, until US does something that knocks my socks off.

Dax, don't worry.
the universal homies don't flame posters when there is a difference of opinion.

the darkside are the people that are laid back and don't wear rose colored glasses :hippie:
