Hhn Attending The First Or Second Night

We will be arriving in Disney World 9/28. We plan on going to HHN either 9/29 or 9/30. Is their any advantage-disadvantage to attending the first or second nights? Are these considered peak nights? Hopefully by attending one of these nights we will be getting the full effects. Please let me know what you think.

Those would be peak nights since it's a Friday/Saturday. I was at HHN opening night last year and it was pretty crowded. I don't think it will make a difference which night you go but it will be busy regardless.

Opening night is fairly crowded since all the die-hards go the first chance they get. Second night should be better. You won't really be missing anything as far as effects, but the scareactors won't be settled into their roles yet. They get better as time goes on.

i have gone to hhn twice on opening nights in the past years.

it was good, but now, i go after opening nights.
i prefer the second night.


camera crews, tv stations are there on the opening night and hang around for about an hour tops.

at POE, it is very crowded due to the mass media folks.


also, second night, some kinks are worked out.

i always go either the first or second weekends for hhn. much less of a crowd compared to the middle to the end of the month.


only went opening night twice, ever since then, i do the second weekend of the event.
just my preference.

go when it is best for you and your familiy.
