Just bought my plane tickets out there for OCT 11-17, and I can't wait! It's the one thing I look forward to every year and hope these next few months fly by, but I was just wondering if anyone has any info at all on this years event yet, or if I'm just stuck waiting for info until around Aug. like every year.... Thanks!

I am too, I first went to HHN in Orlando in '08, getting most of my info from here (I remember talking to you a few years ago about HHN!), and I've been going to USH for HHN these last 2 years since I live out in AZ, but now that WWOHP is there, I'm coming back out to check that out and go to HHN! Let the countdown begin!

That's too bad! That would be really awesome, I'd definitely like to go to the even with some people that are as obsessed with it as I am, I go with friends that enjoy the event and all, but they don't obsess over it for the entire year after they get home like I do haha. I hope to one day have 13 HHNs under my belt, this will be year 4 for me!

I go the third week of october
started that time period back in 2003.
(columbus day period. thurs thru sunday nights for me.)
Used to hit the opening weekend and second weekend before 2003.



1. This way i can still get the advertised discount for HHN tickets that are valid for the first 3 weekends only.

2. Thursday night hhn event starts that week also.
though it also was held the 2nd week last year as the september dates were early.

3. Plane fare out of chicago or milwaukee is cheaper in this time period for me.

4. Crowds are not bad during this time period.
Nothing like hell week is, which happens the day after i leave Orlando.
That is when Wednesdays are added to the event.

5. Easier to get the RIP exclusive/private tour booked in this time period.

6. Lots of homies there during those dates.

7. HHN has kinks worked out fairly well at this time point.
Corrections, additions to shows, houses and zones updated before i go.

8. Scareactors pretty much have perfect timing for scares. Most of the teams working like a well oiled machine too.

9. I stay a few days after Columbus day on site at UO. columbus day itself has afternoon crowds but the tuesday after has been reasonable empty in the parks. in some past years, i didn't need to use the express lines for rides.

for only my benefit, my motherland portion of the trip is the week prior to moving to the darkside hotel.
i can't say cheaper rates at disney resorts for all of my time staying there, but better rates.

come on, when it comes to me paying $129. plus, for each weekend night at the allstars, that is not cheap.......
during the week prior to the fri/sat times, are still too high for me.

Years ago i paid $49 a night at allstars but now you can't even touch that number......

i get the end of disney's 2nd value season rate for 4 nights but higher for the next 3 nights there.


I enjoyed the opening night for HHN but that would only cover 2 nights of the event for me.
i prefer 4 nights of this exciting time.

i stay 8 days onsite at universal.
i can cover the parks, shows, city walk and hhn during my stay without rushing.

all you homies should try to make columbus day weekend the time to be there.
if it is too late for you to change your schedule now, think about your plans for 2012.
