HHN 2005 website up/ plus tickets for sale

I'm hoping the price isn't the only scary part of the night! This is our first time and my dh and I love halloween, so I hope it's worth it. What are the hours each night?

I'm confused. Why is your's only $50 more than mine for 2 more people?

okay- didn't mean to make you think about more money being spent, I was just hoping you had some amazing deal I could use!

fridays 7 - 2am
saturdays 7 - 2 am
sundays 7 - midnight.

don't know about weekdays, i have been four years and only fly in for the weekend for f - s - s.....

at around 11 on weekdays, including sunday, the hulk stops operating due to city ordinance. noise after a certain hour issue. the hulk is loud when it is in operation.

if you do the stay and scream, you get a head start and can start the hard ticket event at around 5:45, or when the park is cleared of the day guests.
stay and scream is when you go to a certain area and wait there for the park to be cleared. no special ticket is needed for that. you go and wait and then released to start rides and houses before the main gate opens to the general admission guests at 7.

you will love the hhn.......i am hooked.
questions? just ask me and i will try to inform you of my experiences.

i don't know but maybe someone had an annual pass for the cheaper rate. or maybe the person did not buy the express plus for hhn.

i wil keep reading this thread to see what others have paid.
i am going solo so less to pay than what couples do.

WHAT?!?!?! So you're telling me that I paid that much money for only 5 hours? Why isn't it open until 2 am on Sunday? will I get everything done with the express pass in that amount of time?

Sunday is non-peak night, that's why it isn't open until 2am like Fri/Sat (peak nights)

why don't you go to the stay and scream area when the park closes?
you will be able to start the hhn event at least an hour and a quarter before it is opened to the general public then. you wil get over 6 hours of play time in then and a head start on the houses.

with the express pass you will get on one ride each and one house each. also the attractions such as bill and ted's adventure and beetlejuice if that show is included on hhn.
when you start early from stay and scream, you will not need to use your express pass until about 8:30. therefore, you can repeat some houses and rides with the express pass.

stay and scream area is where you wil go to wait until the park is all cleared out from the day guests. you will have to show your hhn ticket to stay.
last year for the s and s thingy, i think it was capt america or the resturant in that area for ioa. for the universal side it was i think monsters cafe??
two sites are available to wait in.
once you leave the park at 5 if at ioa or 6 if at universal, you can not get back in until 7 that evening. stay in the park, eat dinner and you are allowed to leave to start rides and houses before others.
last year it was one or two houses opened at 6 and one at 6:30.

I thought I read that tickets for non-peak nights were less expensive - but the web site is listing all tickets at almost $60.00. Is there anywhere to find out what the AP prices and express pass prices are, or aren't they up yet?

call the ap line to buy the tickets with the ap discount.

there is a discount for the express passes for hhn but they are not listed on the web site yet. if you buy a multi day pass for universal, you can buy the express discounted.

i bought my tix today when the joint opened up.
i did not get the discount as they could not link to the prior sale this morning.
i thought, screw this, i will pay full price. i may be stupid but i am not dumb.
they only sell so many express passes a day.
last year i ordered my express passes sept 1.........my friend tried sept 10 and they were sold out for the dates he wanted.
we went the second weekend last year.

from what money i am dropping on this trip, i would love to get a bargain, but i can not risk not getting the express passes. i think universal counts on people like me to rush and buy outright.

i called this morning and was told no peak or non peak night this year for hhn tickets. all dates are the same price.

discounts are available for ap holders but you need to call on the ap line.

What's the AP price and can you buy more than one ticket with the discount? I want 3 tix but there are only 2 of us with AP's, so I just wanted to see if we could get all 3 at the discounted rate.

Thanks!

This will be our first visit to Universal (and also our honeymoon) so we are trying to make the most of it ... Has it been confirmed which park the HHN will take place in? (Rumors seemed to point to IOA but not confirmed.) We were hoping to do the following:
1. Go to Universal Studios before lunch
2. Go to IOA for an early dinner at Mythos
3. Stay for HHN at IOA

I guess part of this depends on which park it will be in. If it is indeed IOA, will I be allowed to "Stay and Scream" if I just purchased a ticket to the Studios that day (i.e., do they consider that the same as being in the park or do they consider a completely separate park)? Also, if we were not allowed to Stay and Scream, guess we couldn't get in for dinner at Mythos if we had the HHN tickets? (Do the restaurants even stay open for HHN?) If it's IOA and we're not allowed to Stay and Scream, is it worth it to buy 2-park 1-day tickets at the gate just for the opportunity to get in there early? (And do I need to worry those 2-park/1-day tickets will sell out or is that not typical? We're going on the Friday before Columbus Day.)

As it is we are going to be spending a lot of $$ for day tickets and HHN tickets (with Express hopefully), so we are trying to get the most out of it! Any advice appreciated!

anyone that has bought a hhn ticket is eligible to go to the stay and scream area.

hhn event will be in ioa and parts of universal/new york if needed. can't imagine not utilizing the mummy those nights.

yes, resturants are open during hhn.
when i called for a ressie for mythos, i was told 3 is the last seating. was also told ressie can't be made this far out.

i will be there also on the 7th as you two are. also will be there the 8 and 9......
you go to the stay and scream area and can enter the resturant to wait if you have a hhn ticket for that night.

ioa closes at 5 and us closes at 6 on the dates hhn will be held.
i think you will be rushed if you attempt to do both parks in just one day. hhn can become crowded. you just never know this far out how many tickets will be sold for the nights you will be there.
i would imagine closer to halloween the real crowds would start.
i have only gone the first and second weekends to hhn.

more questions, just post here.

just to let you know, universal is as of today, honoring the discount from the universal on line store.

i bought a multi day pass prior and now can use the discount for the hhn tix

bought three days of hhn and express yesterday morning and just received an email to confirm the modification on my order. whoopie.....woo hoo...
getting refunded almost $70 !!

buy a multiday universal pass, buy the hhn tixs at a discount.
they are as follows:
fri. $42.33
sat. $52.98
sun - thur $ 26.36

if you have an AP for the discounts, the only other way i am aware of is the discount from buying the multi day pass.
