HHN 13 - Drunken Kids

There were plenty of carts selling alcohol. I can't comment on whether they were doing ID checks, they must've been but kids were obviously gettign around it easily.

I think you'll be fine, there is plenty of security, it was just an uneasy atmosphere, you'll be fine with your express pass too, if you get stuck in a line with any you know you won't be with em for too long.

To be honest although now a responsible adult:crazy: when I was a kid we did buy drink when under age as I am sure a few of us did::yes:: and usually these kids are ok and do tone it down when they see familys with kids its the louts who spoil the night for people and they come in all shapes and ages:jester:

I've been quite surprised reading this thread. I always thought the US were much more strict.....for instance at Seaworld you nearly always have to produce your ID at the Budweiser Plant(unless you look like your on your last legs!!:p). I have a feeling it's very much an event problem rather than a USO global one! Hopefully the organisers will learn from this and be more aware next year.

One of the youngsters behind me was told to 'watch his swearing' by an older guest infront of me. To be fair the kid was f-ing every other word along with a few other choice words. The kid told him 'he's gonna be cussing all night and if you don't like it you better walk quick' I stood between them hoping it would not get nasty, it didn't but I did not listen to their exchange. The kids name was 'Tyler'
To be fair to him, later in line when they were messing about he knocked into me very hard but quickly apologised, I just smiled. I'm no killjoy and he didn't do me any harm. I guess I just never expected it all through the night. There were a few other incidents at other points in the night. The thing is though, we were in line for the haunted forest type venue in Jurassic park when the above took place, if there had of been any trouble I doubt any of the police would have got through for a while as the line was all the way through the flyers in Jurassic park. Line time went from 20 mins when I entered to 75 by the time I came out, it was the naffest venue I saw all night too!
All other lines were 90min plus (apart from the rides) after that and I soon gave up.

Well I think they should just not allow thirteen year olds in!!!!!

LOL.... Just kidding.

I don't think it's all the time, but it does happen. I am sure Universal will handle these situations accordingly.

Please don't anyone be uncomfortable or decide not to go based on these occurrences. We had a great time and as i stated, will go again some day. The problems are more for people with younger kids to consider. While it was noticible, the drunks did not even come close to ruining the event. Go and have fun.

>Chainsawwolf- but on these nights there aren't just bars- are
>there? I've read references on several threads to alcohol being
>sold pretty much every few feet by vendors- do they ALL ID and
>do the 1 drink rule?

Yes, all of the carts and vendors MUST ID, and apply the 1 ID = 1 Drink rule. Universal could lose it's liquor license if it didn't. There is a large undercover security contingent (Universal, OPD and ATF), that monitors the sales very closely. Security picks up a lot of under age drinkers, and if their parents cannot be contacted to pick them up, they are sent to the Juvinile Detenion Center until they can be picked up.

were actually going to HHN on Halloween. Have express passes....kids are 13, 12...

guess the best thing for me to do is try to do it all by 11:30 pm......

assuming rowdiness starts later in the night....don't mind happy drunks too much...hate the ones who curse and ruin the whole ride for you
