HHI with Cash?

How hard is it to get HHI for cash? I'd prefer not to use points. Is this something I might be able to rent points for?

If you are looking for weekend nights, the 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units are generally cheaper on cash basis than using points. It's a hit and miss with cash reservations being available. I would recommend using your points to make the reservation, then change the nights that become available on cash basis to change them over.

Per the previous comment, I guess the answer will depend largely on the time of year. We were able to extend our points stay by one night for cash fairly easily the week before last (first week of December), however the resort was relatively quiet and the weather cool. Disney was very accommodating, allowing us to stay in the same villa for the additional night.
