HHI- Week of Thanksgiving?

Hi All... This will be my first visit to HHI... Not leaving the Resort- This is QUIET TIME! 2 Questions How cold will it be? (Weather? -Floridian) and Best room location ( Iam thinking the rooms in The Live Oak Lodge) Views Will be a must on this one. Any Ideas will be most helpful. Thanks Ahead

We were at HH last Thanksgiving. The weather was pleasant, but too cool for the pool and the ocean.

We were only cold during the Dolphin Cruise.

We live in Alabama so if you are from up North, it will seem VERY pleasant.

We loved staying in the Big Oak Lodge. Big Murggie's Den was a big hit for us!

What type of room do you have reserved? If it's a studio or 1BR, you will most likely be in the Live Oak Lodge; if it's a 2BR, you will be in one of the other buildings.

What kind of view do you want? There really are no "bad" views, just different ones. (These are for mostly for 2BRs, but there are a few studios and 1BRs throughout the resort.) Poolside, marsh view, marina view, interior (which doesn't sound very glamourous, but I couldn't think of a better word to describe it -- it's actually very peaceful and beautiful!). Also, do you want to be closer to the pool/community hall/Mercantile or to Big Murggie's Den and the shuttle to the beach house?

Just a word of warning: the resort will be sold out for Thanksgiving, so depending on when you check in, there may not be all views available. But I really wouldn't worry about it too much -- the resort is small and well designed, so you won't be far from anything no matter where you are!

Um, we're going so expect cold weather. It's a family joke that whenever DH and I pick to go to HHI, the weather turns unseasonably cold. I just saw the weather report for the first couple days after we get there this year, and it's supposed to turn cold and windy. We always get Live Oak Lodge, a 1 BR, and we love it there. In addition to the villa's porch, I love to sit on the bench right near the stairs in the back of the Lodge (except when it gets too windy). From there, I've seen dolphins out in the inlet.
