Hey neighbors!

Can you guys help me with weather expectations for our April trip to HHI. When we went in July, we did alot of swimming. Alot.

I thought it would be warmer, but I have just found out that the average highs dont top 80. While my husband is thrilled to golf in this weather, I'm not sure about the hanging by the pool/beach part.

Anyone got any feedback for me? Thanks!

We have gone to HH 3 of the last 4 years in April (and will be there this April as well). The weather was in the upper 70's and low 80's. Plenty warm enough for pool swimming, and my kids sometimes did go in the ocean. We are used to the cold waters up here in the Northeast. We think it is a great time to go!

We have been to HH during the first week of April many times. While at times, we have experienced temperatures in the 80s, one year (3-4 years ago??) it was rainy and temperatures were in the 40s and 50s!

For our family, even when the air temps were in the 80s, the ocean water was too chilly (we live in the South :rolleyes1 ), but the pools were wonderful.

Even when the weather didn't cooperate, we had a great time. Just check the forecasts before you go to know what to pack.

For a northeasterner April in the South Carolina is quite swimmable...in a pool...preferrably a heated pool. I'd say the ocean will be okay for wading and with an offshore breeze it would be easy to spend a day on the beach.

But there is no guarentee it will be relentlessly warm like there is in Orlando. At the same time I've experienced mid 70's degree temperatures when visiting Charleston in February. Today in Atlanta the forecast calls for the high 60's. So I'd pack for both the high 40's and the low 80's.
