Do the chair and umbrellas at the beach need to be reserved in advance?

There is usually enough loungers unless you want several together. There aren't many tables with umbrellas so they get taken fast. We usually go to HHI over Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends when the resort is sold out and busy.

Thank you! We are going to be there at the end of August. Have never been to Hilton Head. It is early, but I am pretty excited about it.

We went 2 years ago in August. We were planning on renting chairs and umbrellas, but we did not.

The first day the water was so warm and perfect surf...we just went in ocean for like a half hour then back up to the pool where we left most of our stuff. We went back down on the beach later for another swim.

My boys were 18, 14 and 12 at the time. They loved the pool area - pool table, ping pong and a volleyball net in the pool....arcade....snack bar...nice lounge area. Very nice....oh and a bar for adult beverages.

They loved the ocean too....but we not too far from the ocean....Jersey Shore.

2 days later we went back to the beach and it was windy with a bad riptide. You went in the ocean at one point and 10 minutes later you 100 feet down the beach. The ocean was a little rough but the current really pulled you down the beach. We swam for a while but spent most of the time up at the pool.

We were only in HHI for 4 nights, so we went to the beach twice.

Loved the resorts...bikes...etc...enjoy.....

I saw pix of the room renovations they are doing it looks gorgeous!
