HHI Organic Groceries

We arrived at HHI today (first visit) and I must say the understated decor and relative blending in of it in comparison to the others that we saw is so much nicer - but anyway we were planning on not eating out every meal and just relaxing a lot but we went to 2 stores today the Publix near walmart and the Piggly Wiggly closest to the hotel , but couldn't find any organic chicken or beef, butter or even milk, managed to get some eggs, yoghurt and fruit though

Can anyone help with where I can find this produce on the island

You might try Fresh Market.

Publix has quite a few organic items as well. Fresh meat in the meat dept, frsh produce in the produce dept, add'l items interspersed with the regular items (ie. their canned organic veggies with the regular veggies) plus there is an entire natural foods aisle that includes milk/yogurt along with other dry goods.

There's another Publix farther south on the Island near the entrance to Sea Pines (might not be the place to be today), as well as a Harris Teeter (with a Red Box inside).

The Harris-Teeter store on 278 just past the Sea Pines circle does have some organic/local produce items.

We went to Fresh and managed to get a good selection of things - we are heading down towards SeaPines on Wednesday - figured things may be a little less hectic then
