HHI in February

DW is planning a trip to HHI in February.

Any suggestions on what to do at this time of year?

We went to HHI a few years ago in February. Since we're not beach people, and don't have any children to entertain, it was great to just sit on the balcony and read a book. All the recreation activities are going-I went on the Dolphin Cruise, the tour of the Island, and the Pinckney Tour, while DH went golfing. We rented bikes one day, and I think I remember going miniature golfing once. We also went to Sea Pines Forest Preserve a couple times.

We were there this Feb. We took 2 or 3 walks on the beach a day, we took a book and sat by the pool and read. We putzed around the island a little. Basically just chilled. We were only there for 4 days this time but I would have liked to go to Savannah or go horseback riding. Maybe next trip!

They have lots of activities going on at the resort that could fill parts of your day. We go during the summer and are so busy swimming in the ocean and pools that we fit maybe only one of the activities in. I'd like to maybe take a trip on the off-season sometime to explore more of the activities and other recreational activities available on the island.

What is the weather like in February?

We were there the week of President's Day and the temps were in the mid to upper 70's. We only had one morning where there was some rain. I think there is an average of 60 degrees in Feb.

We're talking about a fall get-away to HHI. We have been there twice in the summer, but are really thinking and looking forward to a fall vacation there. We love nature and HHI has nature everywhere and migrating through. I imagine the early new year months are the same...
