HHI in Dec

We are going to HHI for the first time in Dec. Will there be any Christmas activities going on? It will be me, dh, ds6, dd9 and my inlaws. Any activities we should make sure to do? We're planning a day in Savannah, a day at Charleston and a day at Parris Island/Hilton Head. We're also hoping to have a day just at the resort. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I remember that there's something in Sea Pines, where the Salty Dog is. I don't remember what, but it starts the day after Thanksgiving every year. Maybe Santa visits? Google the Sea Pines preserve.

I found it! It's the South Beach Christmas Village, advertising hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights and Santa visits for pictures each week "til Christmas with treats for the whole family. It's right by the Salty Dog (not sure, but they might sponsor it). Shortly after Thanksgiving there's a Christmas tree lighting, and throughout the season Santa can be found at various locations (that's one travelin' man!) I found all this in the little magazine "Where to Go on Hilton Head Island."
