I am trying to determine a room request for a studio.

What buildings are exclusively (if any) for DVC. I see there are 31 buildings in total.

Any suggestions for a room request ?

All villas at HH are DVC, but are also available for cash reservations too - based on availability. There are actually a total of 21 Buildings at HH (11-31) but only 21 Studios and 1BR villas (all lock-offs). 16 of those are found in the Main Lodge (Bldgs 11/12) and some of those are HCA.

The remaining 5 Studio/1BR villas are located in Buildings# 16,18,19, 28 and 30 under a GV. All of these/Studios/1BRs are 1st floor (with a few steps up to the front door).

Here is a link to information from the DVC Resource Center about Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort - https://www.disboards.com/threads/the-dvc-resource-center.3442066/#post-54308697 . More specific information may be found in the link there listed as HH Villas & Views just above the satellite view of the resort.

Many of the Studios in the main lodge have good views of the Marsh where you can sometimes observe dolphin, manatee and a wide variety of shore birds. The Studio in Building 18 will also have a Marsh View. None have a pool view.

Enjoy! :)

Yes, the studio in building 18 has a great marsh view, our favorite view, but unfortunately it's on the first floor and subject to noise from above. We always request the Main Lodge mostly because of the elevator. DH golfs a lot, and insists on keeping his golf clubs in the room, so for up and down, the elevator helps. And since we stay for two weeks, the elevator is great for carrying groceries from the many trips to Kroger. Yes, we've seen Dolphins from the main building, mostly from the side that faces the inlet. However, that side faces the morning sun, so it can get pretty warm while you drink your morning coffee. I like 1135 best, then go onto back porch to look for dolphins.

I looked at my dates on the ****** website and it states that there are no grand villas available then. So does that pretty much mean that none of the studios that are scattered through out the resort available?

No, the GV availability has nothing to do with the studio availability. It just means that of the 5 studios that are not in the main lodge, all of them will have occupants above them:crazy:.

We will be staying in a two bedroom next week. Are they located in all buildings and are they on upper floors. Not sure what to request, this will be my first time at HH.

I always request top floor because I don't want to deal with noise above me.
