HHI before WDW

We are driving our next trip in April (thanks JetBlue 700 PP you can keep it), as we were planning we thought about stopping in at HHI for a few days on the way down. I called yesterday and they had 1br for the 15&16, we will then drive onto BWV for the week after that. I think this will be a great break of driving and can not wait. I might even be more excited about HHI (well it is new to us). Now we will just have to dread the ride home.

we drive from boston 1-2 times a year and often do the stop over at HHI on the way down or back..this year we are spending New Year's Day as an over nite from OKW vacation 12/28-1/01/10. we also spend many summer vacations there and added on in 2002 to get the 11 month window for the summer months. Have fun, lots to do or not at HHI we love the beach shopping and relaxing on the porch..great dining options also. Can't tell if this is a first HHI trip or not. You will join the HHI lovers club soon!

I think that's a good plan! We had our first HHI trip recently, and we can't wait until the time when we're driving down to WDW from Cape May NJ and we expect to be stopping at HHI for a few days, each way.

Our retirement should hopefully be in a bit over 2 years, that's how far ahead we're planning!

I've never done this, but I have been to HHI for a wonderful vacation. If you do this, the only thing I would recommend is to stop on the way back home instead of on the way to WDW. It is so relaxing and would make a great way to relax and unwind after an action-packed WDW vacation. Plus you won't be so sad leaving WDW because you will know you are headed to another fabulous Disney resort!

I agree with prior poster - stop at HHI on the way back home. We drive to WDW from New Jersey, and stay 4 days at HHI on the way home. It is just the slice of heaven and relaxation you will need after a busy week running around the world.
