How strick are they on have adult beverages on the beach. I was reading a website were they said no alcohol on beach???? Is that true b/c a cold beer goes great with a game of bocce ball. Just wondering if you can hide it a little....

There is a no alcohol policy on the beach. Of course, I have never seen anyone searching coolers or looking in mugs in the years we have gone there. I would imagine if one acts like they have had too much to drink or is blatant about what they are drinking there would be an issue.

I had a beer with my lunch on the beach last Oct. most beach's and parks post no alcohol signs. It's been my experience (SO FAR) that it's only enforced if there is an issue. I usually bring beer and keep it in a sleeve while drinking to date I have never been aproached by anyone. I have seen rangers throw some rowdy folks out of a state park for having alcohol while I sat quietly with a beer a few camp sites away. That's no garuntee you won't get some rookie patrolman going "by the book"!! IMO have fun and just don't flaunt it.
