If you can get over the bridge on a Saturday by 10 or 11am, it won't be too bad. The summer on Saturdays is the worst and this Saturday for Easter will be bad,too. Sundays will be better but its still better to arrive in the a.m. if you can - the earlier ,the better. We live an hour up the road and just try to get there by 10 a.m. or so if we are arriving on a weekend. We avoid the a.m. and p.m. rush hours on weekdays as well!

Was planning this trip for around 2nd week of September. Would the traffic be a little lighter then? Would be driving from Maryland, so 10 hr. drive, if we left at 4am scared1: ) would arrive around 2p.on a Sunday. Would this be terribly bad traffic? Then we would probably leave by 10:00a on a Sat. How long to get out of HHI in Sept?

September, esp as kids are back in school should not be an issue, even on a saturday.
