HHI availability the week after Easter?

Do we have a chance of booking at 7 months for few days after Easter? We are not trying for Easter itself. Easter is the first week of April next year. Checking the resort availabilty tool it looks like there is still availabilty. I believe the golf tournament would be the following week.

Anything is possible. I would continue to check the availability tool as you are doing and see if anything is available 7 months out. I know a couple of years ago I tried to book Easter and the week following Easter when it was Spring Break and nothing was available. I have since stopped trying because I usually couldn't find availability for when I wanted during peak times(summer, holidays, etc.). A CM told me that people who bought at HH really want to go there so the availability there is different from the other DVC resorts. However, my sister was able to book HH at the last minute off season without a problem. Good luck!

I think if you are looking for a 2 bedroom villa you have a decent shot if you book right at 7 months.

Although we do own at HHI, we did not book our HHI trip for spring break until after the 7 month mark and we got a week. Our spring break is always Good Friday through the week following Easter. It was very fun, enjoying the island in less than summer temps!!

We are deciding if we will do HHI again this spring break or go somewhere else.....

I think if you are looking for a 2 bedroom villa you have a decent shot if you book right at 7 months.

Even with the smaller units I'd think the chances pretty good but better with a 2 BR. If one tries 7 months out when the reservations open, I'd think one is likely to be successful and if not, will likely have success with the WL.

Easter week 2014 was open except for GVs 7 months out but you may have a different issue. Though it was open early in the morning 7 months out for Easter week beginning Easter Sunday, spaces filled fairly quickly and if you would have had a later start date such as the Tuesday after Easter you would have found the Tuesday and Wednesday missing for all room categories at exactly 7 months out, i.e., those reserving with an Easter start date filled those nights. One thing about HH for Easter is that it is DVCs bargain resort for that time as the only DVC resort that is not in premier point season.

We didn't have any problem booking for the week after Easter at 7 months a few years ago. And as far as unit size is concerned, I was surprised to learn, in talking to a front desk CM, that occassionally the 2 BRs are full but there's availability for a 1 BR. She said that part of the reason may be because HHI attracts families who want a 2 BR, and couples often reserve a studio. I know that happened a few years ago when we were there-a couple, on the spur of the moment, asked if they could stay an extra day. They'd been in a 2 BR with friends. Surprisingly, there were only 1 BRs left, which they took, because just the 1 couple was staying.

Thanks all. I will keep watching the tool. We are only wanting a studio which may make it harder. The earliest we could be there is the Tuesday after Easter. We got lucky and got tickets to a practice round at The Masters. We weren't planning a trip at all until this happened.

Would we be better to try for a Easter check in and than walk the reservation?
