We have never been to HHI, but we are considering visiting there next April. Our home resort is VB so we would have to book at the 7 month window.

I am wondering how crowded the resort is in April, and if I will have much luck getting a reservation at the 7 month window. I have heard it is very busy in the Summer, but I am not sure about the Spring.

Thank you,

Jeff

April is doable, especially if you want a 2BR. HH is a family destination and it does fill up during Spring Break times.

I think you'll have success if you call right at 7 months.

Enjoy! :)

The only problem might be the week of the Heritage Classic golf tournament at Sea Pines. I don't know the exact dates next year, but it's usually mid-April, and according to a CM I talked with, everything's packed!

That tournament I believe is this coming weekend, it has traditionally followed the Master's for years.

April 9th-15th.

We booked the first week in April this year but did it day by day to be safe. It is a small resort so even though it was at capacity it did not seem crowded. We absolutely loved it and are already thinking of going back April 2009.:)

Hi, can anyone tell me if it is warm enough to swim in April at HH? Thanks :goodvibes

We just got back from HHI. The ocean is a definate "NO" - waaaay too cold. Even my kids could only take it for a few minutes.

The pools were too cold for me personally (I actually expected them to be much warmer this time of year), but the kids did not mind the temperature and swam the entire time.

When we were there temps were in the mid-80's, but dropped to highs in the 70's.

Thanks, Starbox! Good to know. If in the 80's, I could probably stand to dip my toe in the pool, at least. In the 70's, good enough for sunbathing, lol. The beach in April is certainly preferable to coming to work. I may have to look into this.:thumbsup2
