HHI at Christmas--what activities/pool warm?

we are thinking of spending a few days at DVC HHI next Christmas on our drive back to DC from WDW. Are there activities for kids during Christmas week? Has anyone been there when it is COLD? How warm is the pool? Is the beach house still open? Is it worth stopping at HHI in December (we go every year in June)? thanks, Elaine

The pools are heated...it's the getting out when you are wet that can be chilly.

The Beach House is open year round, but services are usually limited in the off-season.

I am sure they have holiday-week activities, but don't know what they are. I"m sure it's worth stopping, as long as you don't expect the same kind of vacation as those you have in the summer.
