My wife never cared about our DVC points. But after our trip to HH last week she is now plotting how to spend every last one of them -- at HHI. She's convinced that Disney is the best place to stay there.

I may never see WDW again!!!

On the way home I was saying things like, "You may want to stay at the Marriott because it's at the beach." Anything to conserve the points.

My two oldest kids say they like Disney HH better than WDW. And my two younger kids say they like them THE SAME!! I never heard of such a thing.

Too funny!
I'm glad you hjad such a great time!
My two(3 and 5) love it at HH also, they put it on par with WDW.

My DD says the same thing, she likes HH better. That is why we are thinking about skipping a trip to wdw next year so we can go to HH more than once. Plus, we can always squeeze in a bonus extra trip on cash in septamber with those great low rates.

Oh the horror!!

LOL. HH is my favorite of the DVC resorts, but I LOVE WDW and would never give up trips there to just go to HH.

Thanks for the info, make me even more excited about my first trip to HH in June.

We are 12 days away from leaving for 8 wonderful nights at DHHIR... LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.... Last years trip was THE BEST vacation we have ever had as a family....

But we wont be giving up our WDW trips.... Love them too!

We went for a few nights last year and we LOVED it also. The only thing keeping me from pushing DH for an annual trip there is the long travel time for us to get there. Because of odd airline schedules, the only way to connect to HH for us is to come in late at night and arrive at HH pretty close to midnight or arrive by plane, stay somewhere near an airport the first night and then drive over in the morning. That basically means we are traveling 2 days at each end of a trip. So, 4 days of travel for a 3 day stay seems nuts, 4 days of travel added to a week stay is usually too long away from work.

The only way we pulled it off last year was because it was our 10th Anniversary and we decided to make it a road trip plus HH visit. Flew into Raleigh/Durham where DH has old friends, had dinner with them, stayed the night and drove down to HH the next day. We made the drive part of the trip so enjoyed it immensely. Didn't hurt so bad that we could only get HH for 3 nights because the travel was part of the vacation. Wouldn't want to do that every time!

This just reaffirms the reason I'm buying a resale at HHI.
Now if Disney will just pass on ROFR life would be great.
(t-minus 11days and counting on ROFR) :hourglass

I feel exactly the same, but DW doesn't. This MAY BE heading toward an add-on -- so we can spend time each year at BOTH places.

HH is definitely the best of the DVC resorts. I'll elaborate in my trip report, which I'm working on. A short list would be:

CM's THE BEST
2BR villas THE BEST (and I own at OKW)
Dining options THE BEST
Outdoor recreation options THE BEST
Proximity to major destination resort ON PAR
THeming THE BEST

I know the last 2 points are debatable.
