Hi guys-- We just returned a few weeks ago from HH and had a fantastic time. Weather was great and the resort was beautiful. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and so did us parents. Now, we're think about heading back in November (possibly around Thanksgiving break). Can anyone tell me what the weather will be like this time of year, and also will there be activities scheduled just like when we went in mid-July. Any other comments (good and bad) about HH in November. THANKS !

My family has been going to DVC Hilton Head for the past 4 years around Thanksgiving time and we've had great weather and it's also been pretty chilly. It really just depends. We take a variety of clothing but being from Cleveland, just about any weather is better than what we'll have here.

I've never been to HH in the summer and I'm sure there are probably more activities in the summer than the off season. Last year DH and I were there and I was told the days leading up to Thanksgiving that the resort was at 20% occupancy and it was blissfully quiet. There didn't seem to be too many activities going on at all. As a matter of fact the evening wine tasting was cancelled because of lack of guest participation. We were a bit disappointed but look forward to experiencing it closer to the holiday this year and hopefully it won't be cancelled again.

We were told that by Wednesday (the day before T-day) that the result is full and this will be the first year we have actually been at HH for the holiday and we're excited about it.

I hope some of my ramblings have been helpful!

Compared to living in Phil. or DC (where we used to live) coming to HH in November is usually great. Yeah, you may need to add a sweatshirt, but you can still go biking every day and enjoy walking and playing on the beach (but not in the ocean--brr!).

I'm not as knowledgable about the DVC activity question, but we have visited friends staying there over Thanksgiving and there seemed like a lot going on--the pool was heated, and there was a marshmallow roast the night we visited.

Something else you could try is horse back riding at Lawton Stables, located in Sea Pines plantation.

We are coming home to HH Thanksgiving week but driving home on Wed. We are taking advantage of the $99.00 per night Disney Visa offer instead of using our points.

I will sign up for the wine tasting so they do not have to cancel.:D

Fenceman - glad to hear that someone will be signing up besides me and DH! This year my sisters and their spouses are coming with us. We're a rowdy bunch and will definitely be at the wine tasting! See ya' there!!!

We too are planning on being there over Thanksgiving '05. We'll be vacationing with my parents (plus the 5 of us) and are planning on getting a GV. Does anyone have any feedback on which one(s) they have stayed in and how they liked it?
