HH Grocery Store

I have seen that there is a Walmart at HH. Is it a super store with a grocery store? I need to know where is the best place to buy groceries and the location. I have only been there once and don't know my way around. We are staying at the Marriott Barony as a trade from DVC. Thanks for any information.

I like Harris Teeter, They carry the brand of water (seltzer and spring) that I drink. there is a publix. The super wal-mart is over the bridge and past the next town. the regular wal-mart is in HH. (Iam 80% sure it is not super--I do not shop at wal-mart so i can't be 100% sure)

You're absolutely right, Canda -- the Wal-Mart on the island is "just" a regular Wal-Mart. There is a Super Wal-Mart before Hilton Head.

There are plenty of grocery options on the island itself, though -- two Publix (one near the Wal-Mart, another near Sea Pines Circle), two Harris Teeters (one at Northridge Plaza, the other near Sea Pines Circle), two Piggly Wigglys (one at Shelter Cove, near the Disney resort, the other at Coligny Plaza) and a Food Lion (across from the Publix at Sea Pines). That's just what I can think of off the top of my head. I personally tend to like Publix first, then Harris Teeter.

The Super Wal Mart is almost at the interstate and a major ways from HH. The closest grocery store from DVC is the Piggly Wiggly. My favorite is Publix also. There is also a Bi Lo on Pope Ave between the 2 circles. Plenty of choices and they are priced about the same as here in north FL.

That's right -- I forgot about Bi-Lo, since I never use them.

BTW, there's also a Sam's Club right on the island if you have a Sam's card...(and want to buy large quantities...)
