HH Grand Villas

Someone posted a chart before of which buildings had GV. We will be in a 1 bedroom and would like to try and avoid staying below a GV (have heard of complaints of it being noisy) Can anyone help??

The grand villas are in Building 16, 18, 19, 28, and 30. We also stay in a 1 BR there and don't like the noise of being below a GV. For that reason, plus we like the view from upper floors, we always request being in the main lodge. And since of the 21 1 BRs, 16 of them are in the main lodge, we haven't had trouble getting our request met yet!

The five GV's are located in buildings #16,18,19, 28 and 30. There is a lock-off 2BR beneath each one in those buildings.

All of the other Studios and 1BRs (16 lock-off 2BR villas) are found in buildings 11/12 which is the main lodge. That area has a parking garage and is the only area serviced by elevators.

For a 1BR villa your options are either under a GV or in buildings 11/12 as there are none in any of the other buildings.

I'd just request that your villa be in the main lodge and see what happens.

I have stayed in a GV at HH and I believe we were farely quiet. We travel frequently to Disney and understand the concept of courtesy to those around you.

But I have also stayed in a 2 BR at HH in building 17 and thought a football team was above us. It ended up being just 2 children aged 4 and 5. Their parents didn't think twice about letting the children run wild, barely acknowledged them for that matter. But was quick to point out how ate sushi, (as mine was chomping on a burger) and were considering becoming vegetarians. They were involved is a special art school to open their senses, (mine was playing with rocks) by then my head was spinning. MY DH gave me the eye, and I kept my mouth shut. Just kept smiling. LOL When we got back to our villa - my DH said - I bet that is the last time you ask a "neighbor" to share a drink with us. LOL To each their own.
