We are taking a quick three night trip to HH over President's weekend. DH received a coupon with his Disney Visa statement for HH offers. He called tonight to check availability in February and to get the rate for a one bedroom. (leaving the teens at home!)

A one bedroom was over $200/night. A two bedroom was $99!! So we booked it. Now we can either call some friends to join us or take the teen DSs. :earseek:

I'm sure it will be quite chilly in February, but how can this offer be passed up?!?!?!?

Hi jennymouse,

The "coupon/offer" came in DH's statement. It has a code on it and I would think that all you have to do is give them the code BUT the deposit has to be made on Disney's Visa.

There are certain dates that the offer is good for:

10/31-11/21
11/28-12/23
1/5-2/10
2/15-3/2

I'll be happy to share the code if you PM me.

That's okay, we don't have a Disney Visa. We're going to WDW Jan 30- Feb 4, driving down from Kentucky. We were looking to overnight in the Savannah area and when I saw your post, I thought that it would be fun to stay at HHI on the way down. Plus, it would be cheaper to get the 2BR for $99 than getting two regular room at a Motel 8. I might call MS & CR tomorrow and see if there are any other deals on 2BR's.

KarenB,

HH is great in February. We usually go for that week and we just love it. (This year we are using the time to search for colleges for my DS) HH can be a little cool on some days, and others are just beautiful so make sure you bring a jacket/sweater. If you have a chance and they have a cooking activity with Chef Gordon while you are there, try it - you won't be sorry. We went to one last year where he served wine and made appetizers and it was delicious! Have fun!

jennymouse,
We didn't have enough point slast year for the week so I called MS and asked if they had any DVC discounts. We paid $129 for the 2 bedroom (and it is well worth it). Call MS and give it a try.

Just keep in mind that the Disney resort is a good half-hour off I-95. While I absolutely love DHHIR, I am not sure it's the best place if you're just looking for an overnight stay while on the road. If you can squeeze even a second night in there, so that you can have a day to check out the resort and Hilton Head, I think you should definitely go for it!

We will also be at Hilton Head over President's Day. Just not Disney. My parents have a reservation at Grande Ocean for that time so I guess it will have to do. Oh well. Maybe I can at least visit the shop at DVC for my fix.

mikesmom-thanks for the information on February. I was wondering what the weather was like. I think it will be a great time and a much needed break.

jennymouse-I have to agree about HH as an overnight stay. It is a bit of a drive off on 95. We did this once driving back fro WDW to PA. We stayed at HH overnight and believe me, it was very, very hard to leave in the morning!!
