When we were there in December we had probably the worst view and thought it was fabulous. The resort is so small I don't think there is a *bad* view.

FWIW ours was a marina view by the basketball court.

Do you have a 2 BR or not? I ask because almost all the 1 BRs and studios are in the lodge, but rarely will a 2 BR be (all 1 BRs are lock-offs, so it's possible, but not likely). We always get a 1 BR in the lodge, and although I didn't think I'd like it, I've found I love it. I love that in the evening, I can go down to Big Murgie's Den, read the paper, watch a little TV. And I've seen Dolphins swimming near the back of the main lodge. We were in another building (#28) only once, and I found that I missed the main lodge. I actually felt it was louder with people going by (we weren't facing the marsh) and I missed BM Den. However, some of the marsh view villas look like they'd be beautiful-to be able to see out on the water from your porch-for that we might want to splurge sometime and reserve a 2 BR.

If you want a 2BR, you cannot be booked into the lodge unless you have a medical condition that requires it. MS is only allowed to book dedicated 2BR's other than special needs at HH (learned this when I made my last reservation). As far as I know, there are no dedicated 2BR's in the lodge. You may still end up in the lodge, but it is unlikely I think.

2 BR marsh views are great. We had one just over the boardwalk and then an even better one near the circle at the end of the parking lot.

We also had a studio in the main lodge bldg and loved the Big Murggie's access to play pool and Risk at night. But didn't miss it when we were in the 2BRs.

We've never been disappointed there.

We've stayed in a different part of the resort each of our 5 stays. They were all great! I really wouldn't worry about requesting a certain area. Besides, just because one person liked it doesn't mean you will. This just means you'll have to plan several trips there to find out what you prefer!
