HH Beach Question

We are going to HHI this weekend, but aren't staying at the resort. We are DVC members though. Can we show our member card and get access to the beach or is it only for those staying at the resort? TIA!

The beach where the Beach House is located is a public access area so anyone with access to the Palmetto Dunes area can enjoy the beach at that location. You would need a room key to access the Beach House itself and only guests staying in the Palmetto Dunes area (including the DVC resort) are able to get beyond the security gate to the beach areas. You will need to have a parking pass to get thru the security gate unless you want to park someplace and walk to the beach.

Your DVC membership card will not get you into the Beach House or thru the security check. You should be able to visit the resort itself though. Just drive up to the resort gate and push the buzzer to speak with a CM and explain you're a member wanting to walk around the resort. If there are any unoccupied/clean villas, they may even be able to show you a room.

You will not be able to enter Plmetto Dunes security gate without a parking pass from the resort. As pp stated, the beach has public access without entering the beach house, but you must be able to access Palmetto Dunes area via the security gate...this won't happen without the parking pass.
