HH availability at 7 months week before Easter?

Does HH fill up during the 2 weeks of Easter break. Was thinking about a 1 bedroom?

Have twice attempted to get HH during those weeks at 7 months out; nothing was available either time.

We stayed there last year (check-in on day before Easter) for the week. I called at the 7 month window (almost to the minute) and there was nothing. Went on the auto wait list (day by day) and we had our entire reservation locked by December I think.

And it was for a studio--which has only 16 like the 1 bedrooms.

Spring Break in general and Easter in particular is a very popular time at HH.

There are a total of only 21 1BR villas, which adds to the challenge you will face. However, you'll never know what may be available until you call MS. The wait list often works and travel plans change constantly, so don't hesitate to call.

We just joined DVC and were going to try for a 2 bedroom at HHI the week before Easter (at the 7 month window). How many 2 bedrooms does HH have?

Don't know the exact number off hand as that is not my home resort, but I DO know that HH is mostly a 2 bedroom villa resort. So you should have better chances with that one.

I was put on the waitlist for the week before Easter on August 2 (1 BDR). Received a voicemail this morning that the entire week was now available!

What was very odd though is when I called back I was told the entire stay was booked in 1 day increments?! I had to sit through an extended phone call as MS went through and booked the stay and gave me six separate confirmation numbers!! Has anyone ever experienced this before? She was hesistant to rebook it under one stay because I "might lose a day" or something. Seemed odd.

How many 2 bedrooms does HH have?

HH has 76 2BR villas, 5 GV's , 21 1BR villas and 21 Studios. All Studios and 1BR villas are lock-offs.

When MS booked the waitlist request automatically on a daily basis, you ended up with 6 separate reservations. The CM you spoke with was concerned that in trying to consolidate them into a single confirmation number it might open some of the dates to be grabbed by the system during the process and thus you could lose them.

While I think they coukd have prevented such a problem, you are fine with the separate bookings as they will all be linked together into a seamless vacation.

Are the 2-br dedicated or are some lock-offs? For just the 2 of us I can see where we will have a hard time getting a studio or 1-br at the 7 month window, but I would like to take sis and family and would need the 2-br so it looks like we will have better luck. yippee!!!!

Any suggestions from anyone of best time to take them; March break, Thanksgiving or X-mas? There will be 4 kids ages 8-17. We will also be driving from Maine and Michigan for driving considerations Also, want to have time to spend with them but not too much to be bored. Any suggestions on length? A week, more, less? Also, what else is there to do and see on the island? Thanks so much for any help.

Have you tried trading points with someone who is a HHI owner? I did this for next Easter. He made reservations for me at HHI. I made them for him at the BWV. It worked great, didn't cost a cent and got us both what we wanted.
