HH at 7 month window

Just wondering if anyone has reserved HH at the 7 month window and whether or not it was difficult to get into for the month of April. I am going to book my home resort of BWV at the 11 month window (next month) for April of 07, but then at the 7 month window I'm going to see if I can switch and get into HH. We really want to try HH and are thinking of taking the parents and getting a two bedroom, but I'm not going to mention it to the parents til I know I've got the ressie. Any thoughts, suggestions, experiences would be appreciated. TIA

We booked HH at less than 7 months and were able to get a 2 bedroom, studio, and then two 1 bedrooms on cash discounted rates for the week before Memorial day! I'd recommend looking at paying the cash discount rates for weekends (Saturday especially). The rates are really reasonable. Much less than WDW. Good luck!

Also, find out when the big PGA golf tournament is out at Harbourtown. That's some week in April, and the whole island is packed, including Disney's HH. Any week other than that would probably be OK, and who knows? Maybe you'd get lucky at 7 months for the week of the tournament too.

April CAN sometimes be tough because of spring breaks. But, the fact that she's looking for a 2BR definitely works in the OP's favor. I would still recommend doing a day-by-day, just to be sure.

HH slows down after spring breaks, till Memorial Day. Then the resort is usually filled to capacity till Labor Day!

Your strategy is a good one -- booking BWV at 11 months "just in case". Even if by chance you don't get HH at 7 months, go on the wait list and stay flexible!

I got the week before Memorial Day at seven months out with no problem at all.

Only about six more weeks!

Everyone says getting the 7 month window in the summer is the hardest but I was able to do that without a problem. Just call every day when MS opens during your 7 month window. Also, I think it helps if you want a 2 bedroom unit because they are more plentiful.

Has anyone booked recently for April 2007 and is it still possible. I am considering joining DVC and one of many considerations will be the ability to book HH for Easter Break (April 8th) at the 7 month window (this year would be much shorter, obviously.
I have checked the cash availability online and there is space, but have heard that it is sometimes easier to book when paying cash. Any truth to that?

We will be at HH for the upcoming Easter Holiday (4/1 - 4/9) I booked it day by day at the 7 month window no problem- this will be our 3rd Easter here and I've never had a problem. I do pay cash for the Friday and Saturday nights so because the points are so much- we stay in a 2 BR. We've also been down in mid-July and booked at the 7 month window no problem.

April in HH is divine!! We love it!!

It is a problem when booking HH for June-Aug.

I'd qualify this to June through the second week in August. 7 month ressies are readily available at HH for dates after 8/15 (all the southern accents disappear from DVC HH by then, since the sunbelt school systems all open by mid month). We own at BWV and have never had a problem getting HH ressies for the later part of August.

Thanks very much. My DW had heard that HH was tough to book at Easter and it is one of the reasons I am considering joining DVC as we have never planned vacations for Easter break.
I am starting to worry that before I know it DD(10) and DS(8) will be off to college
