hi all, i am just needing to know how everyone likes VB and HH i am thinking of making our 2003 vacation a split stay at these resorts 7 nights at VB and 5 nights at HH. do you think this would a good decision for our vacation? it is just going to be my DH and myself. also is there lots to do at and around these resorts? we just purchased 210 points at BCV on our disney vacation in april. thanks in advance, misty:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I think they are both great resorts and I'm sure that would be a great relaxing vacation. Depending on how you plan to get to the resorts, it's worth remembering it's a 6-7 hour drive between them. It may make sense to break your journey between, maybe Cocoa Beach or Ponte Verde for 2 nights so that your DVC time is only Sunday to Thursdays therefore saving your points.
Coming from NC I'd go to Vero first and HH second so it is a much shorter drive home.
I would also add that , IMHO, HH is much more of a "stand alone vacation destination" given the choice of HH and Vero to have for the longer part of a break (if you still go 7-5 or even take an overnight stay en route between the two and split 6-5), I'd spend more time at HH.

thank you so much for that info. it is only going to be like 86 points for a week at vero in the inn room, would you say an inn room or studio for the 2 of us, thanks, misty:Pinkbounc :bounce: :jester:

We just returned from VB. DH, 5 mo DD, and I stayed in an Inn room, and it was great. From what I understand, you can't specify your view with a studio, but you can specify ocean view with an Inn room. I believe that both have the same amenities. We had an ocean view, and it was lovely.

I would go for an Inn room as IMHO the generally have better views, but you could find you get a studio with a great view of an Inn room with a poor one :( . One thing that may alter your ideas, Inn rooms have two beds, I believe the studios have a bed and a pull out sofa. Obviously you will feel your room is bigger in a studio with just one bed. If you catch too much sun, you may prefer a bed each anyway ROFLOL

We own at both VB and HH. HH is great, with lots to do both at Disney and in town. VB is very relaxing for us, but it seems like there is less in the immediate town for us to do. We usually go to the live theatre once, and otherwise do some shopping when at VB.

From HH we've taken day trips to Savannah and to Charleston. I'd go for a longer period of time at HH than VB, unless its the dead of winter.
