HH 7 Month Booking

How difficult is it to book HH at 7 months, particularly for June/July? I'm planning 2004 vacations.....which is getting challenging with son's high school band and my work schedule. I'm thinking of WDW the week before Memorial Day and HH in June/July instead of the reverse. Opinions?

I suspect it would depend on what type of villa you're considering. There are mostly 2 bedrooms at HH -- studios and 1 bedrooms would be harder to get as there is a limited number available.

Our 1st trip to HH was in July. I called day by day to secure our reservation. Whether it helped or not, our 7 month window fell at Christmas time and because MS was closed several of those days, I had no problem getting our reservation with just a couple of calls.

I called day-by-day early each morning and got a 2-bedroom no problem. It was July 4th week but we checked out before the 4th.

As cgcw stated, there are more two bedroom units than anything else, so if that is what you need, you may get lucky. Also, if you can be flexible with your dates, that will help a lot. When I booked my first trip there, I called at 7 months, and of course, none of the dates I wanted were available. Then I asked if *anything* was available in June or July, and I was able to get a 2br, which we really didn't need (all that space). I am a teacher, so the flexibility of having both months helped. I enjoyed the resort and HH so much that I wound up adding points there just to have the 11 month window. The resort is small, and the Peak season is summer, so I am really glad to have points there. Good luck with the 7 month window! You will love the resort.

Before we bought at HH we had to do the 7 month window. We found no problems booking a 2 bedroom in the July time frame however a 1 bedroom is difficult. Hope this helps.

We were able to get a studio for late July at the 7 month window. When I later tried to convert to a 1BR via the waiting list, I was unsuccessful but the studio was very, very nice.

Traditionally HH has been VERY difficult for mid June to late August. Things have eased up a bit the last year or so but with the extra members coming in with BCV and now SSR, I think that will change dramatically.
