I know this is a long shot (and a weird question) but can anybody that has stayed at the HGVC SW give me an idea of the prices on items at the convenience store? Are they outrageous hotel prices or more in line with grocery store prices?

I am weighing the pros/cons/costs of a town car with grocery store stop to just taking the shuttle from the airport and picking up a few perishables (and some beer :rotfl:) at the on site store.

I really appreciate the help. I have been searching the internet but not had any luck getting info on prices at "Provisions".

Thanks in advance!

I am here now. Is there anything in particular you would like to know the price of?

There is a CVS Pharmacy right by the HGVC SW. VERY close by. Google Maps lists it as a 6 minute, 0.3 mile stroll. We stopped there several times at Christmas (as it is also very near to the Residence Inn SeaWorld) and they had many "basics" that you might need.

Yes, please! Skim milk and bottled water.

Thank you so much...please let us know how you like the resort.

Excellent, Gina, thank you so much. I really appreciate the info.

If anyone is interested I did find a link to the menu for the deli part of the store. Prices aren't terrible...though the extra 2.50 to add a bottle of water or juice to your breakfast sandwich and turn it into a "combo" makes me fear for the prices.

We check-in in 10 days! It will be our first time at the resort. How are you enjoying it?

Just got back from the store. They don't list prices on a lot of items. I asked about milk and bread. Milk is $5.99 a gallon, $2.99 for a half gallon (same price for all types), bread is $3.89 for a loaf. They did not sell cases of bottled water, beer or soda. I looked at a small box of cookies..it was $2.89. An eight pack of those small assorted Kellogs cereal boxes was $7.49. There is not a huge selection...they had some banquet TV dinners, yogurt, butter, cream cheese, 2 liter soda...not much. There is the biggest 7-11 I have ever seen across the street (very walkable), not sure of the prices there. There is a Publix 1.4 miles away where we got our groceries.

The resort is nice. We are in Southampton building which is not that close to the main building and pool area - we have never stayed here before so had no idea about the layout of the resort. Somerset and Hamilton are the closest to the main pools. There is another pool closer to us that we have not checked out yet. We tried the shuttle once, but missed it. It only comes once every hour and stops going to the parks at 3 pm. I am not sure what time the last shuttle leaves the parks to come back to the resort. We walked to Sea World...it is about a ten minute walk (across the street and through the Seaworld parking lot. ) Aquatica is not walkable ( at least not for us with four kids). Ask for the quick queue passes The day before. We checked in at 2 oclock and they were all out for the day, but they gave us the next day's passes right then.

We are in a 2 br....it is very nice. There are two screened in balconies. I hope this helps....

Just went to 7-11...it looks a lot bigger outside then it is on the inside - there was not a huge selection. A gallon of milk $3.99, a loaf natures own bread $2.79, case of water $4-$5 depending on brand, 13oz boxes of cereal 2 for $7. Hope this helps....

Gru, you are a huge help...thanks so much! I really appreciate your taking time out from you trip to check prices for me. And thanks for your take on the resort. I'm very excited as this sounds like a huge step up from our usual accommodations (standard room at POP :)). Don't forget the assorted discounts that you're entitled to at SW since you're staying at HGVC!

Enjoy your trip...and thank again!
