Hi,

Can anyone help me out on the choice? I will need a 2bed - something really luxurious with jacuzzi if possible. Also would like nice pool area particlularly for young children. Location not really an issue as we will have a rental car.

We are considering both HGVC at ID and SW - we have done Vistana Resort before - thought the accommodation was excellent though found it very spread out and didn't really venture beyond the pool near out apartment.

Thanks
Helen

This is a beautiful resort. Nice pool (the zero depth kind that kids can walk into), fountains for kids to play in, also a kid's pool or maybe two, and hot tubs. Also there is a huge jacuzzi tub in the master suite. The decor is Tuscan and done very well. I believe there is a playground, and walking path around a lake. The deli by the pool makes great sandwhiches and they are really enormous. There is also a pool bar that is nice. There is a quiet room and also a billiards/activity room. They have activities galore for kids although I'm not sure if that is summer only. I'm not sure if all the units are finished yet, some may still be under construction. It seemed just a few minutes drive and we were at Downtown Disney. We toured the Seaworld property last fall and it was fine, just seemed a little older and more worn after seeing the one on International Drive. I thought the units at Seaworld had more seating area in the living room but the bedrooms were smaller, and the decor was not nearly as nice as the other. You can view both at HGVC.com. Good luck! :sunny:

We have stayed at VV and HGVC SW. We liked VV better. I would say that both resorts are around the same size but the layout of VV is nicer in that all of the villas surround the pool and complexe so everyone has a nice view.

- HGVC SW is surrounded on 3 (if not 4) sides by roads and one of them leads to a fire department. VV is more secluded with I-Drive as the only public road nearby.
- VV is close to a nice Publx and the Premium Outlets (HGVC SW is not too much further away but it is further).
- VV is newer and the villa itself seemed bigger though I do not have the stats on that.
- VV had a zero entry section in the pool. I don't think HGVC SW had zero entry but I can't be entirely sure because it was not an issue for us when we stayed there so I did not go searching for it.
- Both places had a jacuzzi in the master bedroom.
- VV had two beds in the 2nd bedroom - HGVC SW only had 1 bed and we ordered a cot.

Can't help too much with HGVC ID since we've never stayed there. It is the newest of the 3 resorts mentioned and probably very nice inside. However it is also surrounded by public roads (it is essentially in the parking lot of the Premium Outlets with the Publix across the street and I-Drive right there). Good for convenience, not so good for solitude.
