HGTV is one of my fave channels. I've learned so much since watching it; I just wish my poor old memory could "remember" all I've learned and I could find the helpers they seem to have to finish all the projects so quickly and easily! Digging a big hole in clay is not my idea of a fun time.![]()
I feel like if I went outside and tried to do what they did, I would be lost. I'd be digging a hole, moving dirt, digging anohter hole, moving more dirt around...in a big circle.
) but what the heck happened to Sensible Chic? I loved that show!I love HGTV too. I love "House Hunters". Whenever DH is gone, I eat supper in front of House Hunters. I used to watch Designer's Challenge until they changed the time. And I love the show (I THINK it's called "What you get for the money"-I'm not sure) where people find a house they can afford, but it doesn't have everything they want. Then someone whips out his laptop to show them how to renovate the house to their wants. And I love the show "Buy Me".

I LOVE House Hunters! Designed to Sell is one of my favorites. I can't believe how different some of the before and after pictures are. We just put our house up for sale and I wish they'd come do mine![]()
I also like anything about outdoor landscaping.

So no one knows what happened to Sensible Chic? Maybe I'm the only one who liked it. LOL!

at the costs of some of these remodels.
I haven't watched it since last February, but you know, our garden is ready for a a little updating...maybe I'll turn it on for just a minute...but no more than that...
When we bought our house in Florida last year, I couldn't turn HGTV off. It was extremely addicting, like crack...or the DIS.I haven't watched it since last February, but you know, our garden is ready for a a little updating...maybe I'll turn it on for just a minute...but no more than that...

I love Landscaper's Challenge too! It cracks me up when they say,"The Smiths want to plant 3 bushes all on a budget of $100,000.00." Why can't I find a decorating job like that?
The other day on Designer's Challenge there was an older couple in a townhome. They wanted to change up their kitchen a little. A peninsula was removed. An island on wheels was built and some wallpaper was put up on the soffit. No cabinets,no appliances-that was all they did and it cost $80,000.00!![]()
There are some good ideas on the shows but I justat the costs of some of these remodels.
. I can't even pick out a sofa.
