HGTV’s Behind the Magic – Disney Holidays premieres November 29, 2009 at 8 pm in both the Eastern and Pacific time zones. (Check your local listings.) If you miss it, the special is scheduled to run again at 3 am E/P as well as December 11, 20, 24 and 25.

There is an HGTV in Canada which isn't quite the same from the US one. Does anyone know if it will be on the Canadian one and when?

I just spent ten minutes searching the Canadian channel's website, and finally found it noted on Dec. 24 at 9pm.

Was this filmed this year or last year? I know this is the first time it has been on tv but wondering if the decorations, etc...are the ones we'll see in a couple weeks when we go to WDW?

It's a good question. They showed the suite in Cinderella Castle, and they told the guy he was going to decorate the FIRST holiday tree for the suite.

I can't imagine they didn't decorate while the YOMD was going on, and that took up two years, so it's a bit confusing.

And talking about the suite *this* year doesn't make much sense, as I'm not sure anyone really knows how to get the suite, other than be a gazillionaire that they gift the stay to...

So just with that in mind, I was thinking it was an older special. But I've only watched half of it so far...the guy is such a horrid interviewer I couldn't continue watching it all at once.

It was a neat special. I saw most of it live, but missed parts as I was doing bedtime with the kids. I set my DVR so I could see the rest. Sadly it didn't tape. I'll have to catch it the next time around.
