Is there anywhere in the Orlando area that I can purchase one of these?

I had no luck and ended up with a cluncker from Walmart. If you can I'd order it online before you go. Or maybe order it to be shipped to your hotel.

Mine is not made by Heys but I've had it for about 2 yrs and love it still.

Maybe you can have it overnight shipped? Still cheaper than $50 in luggage fees.
I have a 30% off Kohls coupon you can have the online code. It's valid Sept 14-21. I'm not sure but you may have to have a Kohls charge card to use the coupon. Also I've never used their faster shipping methods so I can't tell you my experience there.

Amazon is awesome for overnight shipping. You might try there too. If you have something shipped to your hotel, be sure to let them know you're expecting something. The Poly refused our shipment of bottled water from Costco, which should have arrived the day before we did.

Can you order one from Amazon? It would probably arrive before your departure from home or you could have it shipped to your Orlando location.

If you don't have time to order one, the one I got from the Samsonite outlet has worked pretty well for several years. It is not digital and I notice now that it shows one pound even when nothing is on it, but the kids and my husband have played with it a lot seeing who could pull the greatest weight. Boys will be boys.

Do you have to read it while holding the suitcase off the ground? That's the nice thing about the digital ones. I only have to hold it for a few seconds til it beeps then I can put it down & the weight stays on the display until I clear it.
