Finally.... after the realization hit me that I COULD actually go to Disney on my own... here I am!!!
Cast of Characters:
Me - Kathy, Single 39 (OMG!!!)
Pal Mickey - My constant sidekick throughout this trip (thought I killed him one night.. but more on that later)
Okay..so.. I guess I figured out how the alarm clock works... becuase is goes off at 6:00 am... OMG... what a HORRIBLE SOUND!!!!!! I snooze for another 5..and then hop into the shower... I decide to head on over to the MK this morning because it is EE.. and I figure the rest of the world is sleeping off those NYE hangovers.. or late hours.... I am refreshed and out of the shower.. I open the curtains and open the sliding doors.. step out onto the balcony.. and WHAT????? It is sooooo dark... oh wait.. that's fog... .. and Wow.. it's COLD!!!... but I perservere... I grab Mickey and a sweater.. and head on down to the bus stop to catch the first bus of the morning.. (ummmm.. .notice here.. how I have NEVER used the Club Level Lounge..because they are NOT OPEN YET!!!!!!!...... hmmmmm.. just something i thought I would point out!!) I am waiting at the bus stop.. and 2 other families join me.. both with YOUNG children.. that is the only reason they are up at this hour!!! the bus pulls up and we are off... Mickey is still sleeping.. but I am sure he will wake up once we arrive at the MK.... the bus ride is very short.. and before I know it I am walking into the MK and it is EMPTY.. Now.. this is what I am used to.. and I love it!! I stop at the Bakery on my way in to grab a tea.. and I just can't resist the Cinnamon Roll.. however.. I ask for a take out container for it.... as I know I will be on the go!! I head on into Fantasyland and I get onto Pooh, Snow White and Philharmagic all before regular entry time... I get on line for Peter Pan when I notice the line forming for the Rope Drop...since I have never done this.. I join in on the fun... and jump off the line for Peter Pan.. and head on over to Splash Mountain... I grab a fast pass for Splash and then jump on the standby line... it is only 5 min.. when I am done..I jump onto the standby line for BTMR only 10 min and when I am done with that my FP time is up for SPlash.. so I grab another for BTMR.. now.. I decide since I will be back later in the evening. I will try out the FP system.... I opt not to use either FP at this time.. and head on into Adventureland.. I walk onto PoC.... and then Alladin.... I jump on Jungle cruise and head on over to Future world... I grab a FP for Buzz as my time is up for the last FP.. and I head onto Carousel of Progress.... which I ALWAYS Love!!.. When I get off of Carousel.. I hop onto Buzz... I tried the hold down the button thing.. It just didn't work for me!! LOL!!! and then I head onto Timekeeper.. I JUST LOVE THIS RIDE!!!! I hope it is open when I go back in Feb!!! Okay.... so.. remember that Cinnamon Roll I had gotten this morning.. welllllll.. I got tired of carrying it.. and tossed it somewhere in Fantasyland... so.. now I am hungry and I head back over to Main street to get a new one... I grab another tea and roll.. and walk over past the Plaza and head towards to tomorrowland.. you know.. that restaurant that I have no idea what the name is.. but it takes up LOTS of room and noone is ever in it....... I grab a table there.. and catch the show in front of the castle.. you can easily hear the music here .. as there is NOONE around you!!! I enjoy my little breakfast and decide to head on out of MK as it was starting to get crowded again.... but before I do.. I head on over to Philharmagic...and grab a FP........On my agenda today is AK... so... off I go... I find the bus to AK and before I know it.. there I am... Through the gates I go.. and WOW.. Mickey Really wakes up!!!... I decide to Head on over to Dinoland.. on my way I grab a FP for BUG.. and then its into Dinoland and WOW #2.. I have not seen this It's a Carnival!!.. Now some people seem to have an issue with the new "look" of Dinoland.. but .. to me.. hey.. It made me smile.. heck.. it made me giddy!!!.. I practically ran to the rides.. and games.. I was having a ball... I love this new look... sort of livens the place up I think... But hey.. that's just my opinion... Okay.. so off to ride T-Spin... not much of a wait.. I get online.. and I am in... Hmmmm.. I think it's okay..but a little bumpy for my tastes.. hey.. not to say I won't do it over and over again..
i Did not ride P-Whirl... Wait.. did I get them confused??? Oh Well. i rode the roller coaster one.. not the dumbo one... LOL!! Gosh.. gotta stop writing these reports after my glass of wine!!! 
I go on over to Dinasour... and grab a FP.. I then jump onto the Standby line and wait only 10 min... I had planned to ride again before I left the park.. but.. it never happened... I spend some time in Dinoland soaking in the atmosphere and people watching.. then I decide to head over to use my FP for Bug... I love looking at the tree of life and am surprised that our line does not allow much time to look at the tree.. but I find out that DISNEY has finally realized that people want to be able to look at the tree and not feel pushed along by ride people and have created a seperate "garden" area for this...While waiting for BUG I encounter a mom of an autistic child.. she and I start to chat and she is asking what are the high points for her to hit with her son..... I have just recently travelled to Disney with my friend's autistic son so.. I actually can help.. I tell her the things that Alex loved.... and tell her that I hope her son enjoys them as much.... we end up sitting next to each other in the show.. and her son seems to LOVE Bug.... so... I was happy...it's great to see the Disney magic work when it needs to!!! After BUG I decide to head out of AK.. and back to the bus stop... I dont really know where I am going... I think EPCOT.. but back to the hotel is sounding good also.... so.. I decide.. whichever bus comes first wins... well.. as I hit the bus stop the EPCOT bus rolls in....and I hop right on.... Since I have not done many of the attractions here. I decide that it is a good choice... I walk through the gates and walk onto Spaceship earth.. which is actually still about a 10 min wait.. odd... there is never a wait for this ride.. but hey I figure grab it now... After that I head on over to the Land... I grab a FP for the Land Ride and decide to get some lunch.. I grab a Baked Pot with cheese and a Diet Coke.. and sit down to enjoy it... I finish my lunch and still have a little time until my FP.. so I explore the paviollion a bit.. I did not go into Food Rocks.. (I am hoping it is still there in Feb!!) Mickey is insistent on telling me about a Hidden Mickey here.. ... but I cannot find it... I spend the next few minutes looking for it... and then decide to give up and head on over to the boat ride.... I enjoyed the ride.. but it seems a little different from the last time I rode it.. still very informative... but just different... Hmmmmm.... As I exit the ride.. I ask a CM where this elusive Hidden Mickey is.... he tells me. and I am relieved... I go see it for myself.. and off I go!!! Next is Journey Into Imagination... I grab a FP for HISTA and head on into Figment.... I think that the changes are an improvement.. but NOWHERE near the wonderful original.. bring it back!!!! i Miss Dreamfinder!!!!!! But I do so love figment.. but he just isn't the same without Dreamfinder..... HUGE SIGH!!! I look around the imagination center for a bit... and send a email postcard home.. (which I am trying to paste here.. but just can't figure how!!!!) then I am off to HISTA.... I love this Attraction!! It is just timeless.. although I do not like the change of the pre-show.. I like the True Colors version so much more... I mean.. this one is okay.. but the other one was so much more emotional..... Oh well!!...After this.. I make my phone calls home.. and notice that the talking fountain is covered up... Oh well...... I decide to head on back to MK as I want to see Spectro and Wishes.... WOW 3 parks in one day!! I am GOOD!!! 
I get on the monorail and it's smooth sailing.... I remember during the ride that I wanted to stop at the Resorts to check out the decorations.. so.. when I reach the TTC I hop onto the resort monorail....I skip the POLY as that has been my home away from home and head on over to the GF.. I REALLY want to purchase some Gingerbread.. so I am very excited.. I walk around for a bit and then head down to the lobby.... where I am SHOCKED to find that they have stopped selling Gingerbread.. I mean.. Here is this HUGE gingerbread house.. EMPTY.. what is that about???? Come on people!!! If I didn't know that this house had been here for quite some time I would have stolen a peice off of that.. I was serious about my Gingerbread... OH WELL!!! 
Back onto the Monorail and into the MK... I decide to test out the FP system and head over to Philharmagic...The park is PACKED now.. not nearly as bad as NYE .. but pretty bad... and here I come with my FP from early this morning.... there are people waiting to enter the FP line..blocking it actually ... whose wait time has not happened yet... and I excuse my way through.... the CM looks at my FP.. and (I Hold My Breath....)... let's me right through.... I hear the waiting people behind me say... 10:00 Am?????? Gosh.. she had to be here with the birds... Yep.. I say.. as i "fly" through the line... I enjoy this attraction yet again... and I still think it is my Favorite!! If you haven't seen it.. you really must make it a proirity!!!... I exit There and decide to head on into the gift shops as one of my only assigned souveniers is a Cinderella dress for my 4 yr old Goddaughter.. she asked for it.. so.. she gets it!! 
I have been looking all through the parks just to make sure they are the same everywhere.. and have decided that they are. and I will purchase this on the way out of the park this evening.. my last night in Disney .. but not my last moments in the parks!!! 
Okay.. now.. off to Splash and BTMR... I was able to ride both with no problem.. and enjoyed both immensely.. it was now time to head on back to main street for Casey's.. Wishes.. and Spectro.. in that order!!!... I was interrupted by a phone call from home.. it slowed me down.. but did not deter me!! I got my dinner from Casey's.. staked out a spot on Main street for Wishes.. and Spectro.... and enjoyed both ... The only problem with Wishes.. was the garland strung across Main streeet.. it got in the way.... but nonetheless.. it was truly beautifull.. this was one of the shows I called home to share.... Spectro was great as usual... and my spot... in front of a garbage can.. ( a great spot which avoids people directly behind you!!!.. and affords a backrest!!!) was great!!! I even was able to offer some room to a few kids who arrived last minute... nothing better than that!!! After Spectro.. I got up.. to head on into the shops.. and that's when it happened.... OH NO!!!! Mickey was sitting atop the garbage can.. and as if in Slo MO.. he toppled to the pavement of Main street.. Oh NO.. What A Way To Go!!! I snatched him up in the hopes that he would be fine.. that he would utter some really bad joke at me.. but no.. he remained silent... Oh No!! What to Do??? I clutched him to my bosom ... frantically looking about.. where do I go???? What Do I Do??? Aha... A Pal Mickey Location... they will know what to do... I rush into the shop and tell the CM behind the counter my dillema... "I Think I Just Killed Mickey".. is what I said... she quickley grabbed him and performed MPR ... .(basically she changed his batteries..and reset him).. and Viola.. he spoke!! I was so happy.. I bestowed upon this CM the purchase of my Cinderella Dress.. and Shoes.. and Tiarra... and Batteries... and whatever she wanted.... So.. I left MK happily with Mickey (8 lives left) and the knowledge that there was going to be a VERY happy 4 year old in Brooklyn, NY!!!! Tune in for the next installment of ... Hey..Who Cares....
