I've been lurking since we decided to make another trip to WDW, and thought I should introduce myself!

I'm Jennifer, a stay-at-home mom of two Princesses (5,7). We are celebrating my husband's return from Afghanistan! It was his second deployment - first was to Kuwait in 2008. When he came home we took the girls on their first trip to see Mickey, and we decided to do it again!

They still have NO IDEA so we're trying to come up with a way to tell them. Personalized ears perhaps? (Suggestions welcome!)

First of all, I want to thank you and your family for your service to this country!

Second, welcome to the board. I'm a newbie as well!

Third, the best way my parents ever did was pack us up, drive us to the air port, and hand us our Disney tickets and a stuffed animal. We were all young, under ten, and I still remember it over 14 years later!

We're driving down, so we may just pack them in the car and go, but it takes two days to get there! Plus I'd like to give them something to look forward to, and a reason to save their pennies.

That might get costly... they are going to think every time Dad goes and comes back they get to go!

Do they like to dress up? If so get them each a new princess dress that they can wear on the trip... or p.j.'s for the trip and let them know what they are for!

I am sure what ever you do and how ever you tell them they will be over joyed especially since they will have Daddy home!

Welcome, and thanks so much for all your family has given up in defense of our country.

Why not hit the Fairy Godmailer list, and ask someone going to WDW soon to send a postcard from their favorite princess, anticipating your upcoming trip? (or, better yet, INVITING you? Maybe Cinderella can mention dinner at 1900 Park Fair with her stepsisters and stepmother and the prince???)
