I know there is something very vague about paint...my realtor wants to find out exactly what they want. They told us they want us to paint the master bedroom (which is pumpkin so I am not surprised) but we need to know exactly what they expect.

They expect for you to paint? That's a decorating thing. I know that we looked at some houses that had God-awful paint jobs and wallpaper. We knew that we'd have to undo that and sure wouldn't have expected the sellers to paint. At least that's how it's done around here.

Instead we bought a house that had off-white paint everywhere --walls and ceilings. White mini-blinds on the windows that had any window coverings, white tile in the bathroom, everything white. The good news is that we didn't have to undo things--the bad news is that it was so bland. Not bland anymore!

It is still that white in half the rooms. But we have been working on it. Believe me, the purple and yellow bathroom is NOT bland at all.

We're still working on our house, too. A lot has been painted, but still have the kid's bedrooms, hall bathroom, and 1st floor study. Of course at this point, some of the rooms (family room/kitchen) could use a redo of the paint. We also have builders grade carpeting that the original owners had installed. I don't think that they upgraded anything in the house.
