GoofyDad869, remember, we are females so we can multi-task! Just last night I was watching Desperate Housewives while we had our little YACHfest. Or was it a yackfest? Thank goodness for a laptop and wireless internet service.

I can multi-task too. It ain't completely about the 'nads, ya know.

For example: last night I was playing "Hearts of Iron 2" as the Soviet Union and it was 1941 early in the evening. The Germans declared war on me as they did historically in late June 1941 (those dogs!). By winter I had halted the German advance to the Soviet's Pre-War boundary (in other words, the Germans just took the Polish territory that Germany & S.U. carved up in the Molotov-Ribbentrop agreement, not any of the Motherland proper). I've got Level 6/7 fortifications built up all along the battlefront (which I had started in late 1938 in anticipation of the impending invasion), and army groups of 15-18 divisions manning each battlefront province. An interesting aside: I elected not to purge my officer corps as Stalin did historical in 1937-38-39, and had to adjust my industrial base to deal with the heavy dissent factor caused by that decision, which took until well into 1940 to get under control. It's now Jan. 1942 in-game:
- The industrial base relocation to the Urals is about complete (I issued that order hours after the Germans declared war on me.
- My infantry units are about 80% modernized to 1941 levels (and I'm starting to research my infantry technologies to bump it up to the next modernization level well before historical)
- My first T-34 armored divisions are rolling out of the factories
- I've started building my first squadrons of PE-8 strategic bombers to put an economic wompin' on the Germs.
- My nuclear & rocket programs are about a year ahead of where they were historically, so my Soviet Union should be a nuclear power by 1944 or so.

I'll launch my counter offensive against the Weirmacht as soon as winter ends (probably late April since I have some sub-arctic regions on the northern end of my battlefront near Leningrad), and might even be celebrating in Berlin by May Day 1943! After that, I'll go after Great Britain, and ultimately the grand old U.S.A. (which quite interestingly elected Rep. Wendall Wilkie in the 1940 presidential election instead of FDR).
