the cardinals play the red sox this year(june 10-12) at Fenway and i'm wanting to go.....how easy (or hard) is it to scalp tickets to the games....not even interested in great seats either, just want to get in......thanks for the info..

I was in Boston about 1 1/2 years ago - It was in May -
We went to Fenway Park about 30 minutes before the game and bought tickets at the box office - They are expensive - It is the oldest (which makes it the smallest seating stadium) which is why the tickets are so much - We had a great time - Sat right by the Green monster -

You could always go to ticketmaster.com and check on tickets - Probably print your own tickets -

Sue Z is our resident Sox fan/afficionado/expert. I am fairly certain she is a season ticket holder and would know the ins and outs. If she is around, she will see this thread, if not, you could PM her.

Just so you know, 'scalping' is highly illegal here in MA, and every once in a while the Boston PD does 'stings' and really really cracks down, so be careful if you decided to go that route.

Very easy to scalp!!! We went to a game last year and had 2 extra tickets. As soon as we exited the subway we were bombarded with peple "Got tickets?" "Need tickets?"(this is the same with every Bruins game we go to also). My firend sold the extra 2 to the first person who asked. As soon as we got to the game, we had 2 people sitting next to us who paid double for the tickets that we had just sold. So yes, scalping is very common in Boston.
However, we have always been able to order our tickets on line, and you would probably get a better deal there.

Tickets don't go on sale until the end of Jan or early Feb so you could just buy them yourself. Check www.redsox.com towards the end of the month. The site says they will have ticket sale info up by the end of January.

This is the one match up I had been waiting for while I was in Boston. We moved to CA this past fall and now it happens! GRRRR!
