I just wanted to check on you ...make sure you weren't too close to the earthquake. I don't what part of the state you live in.

Yep, we are fine.. Shook us up this morning.. Little one jumped out of bed and ran to his sister..but I was running to them when the shaking stopped... DS11 has been up since 5:38AM when it happened... good thing we were off school today...

Epi-center was about 120 miles SW of us just over the Illinois border.

11:14.. we had another aftershock.. This time we felt the whole house move again and things shake...

This is gonna be a long day... They said there has been at least 4 shocks..but we only felt this one...

Called DH at work..about 40 mins. away and he said they had just felt it..
off to call my stepsons..

Thanks.. so far things are pretty quiet.. but DS11 doesn't get too far from my side... poor kid.. didn't remember the one in 2002... but the one at about 11:14AM scared him out of his mind.. I'm glad he wasn't at school.. I couldn't imagine how he would have handled it...

DD and DS7 are going on like normal.. they'll come in and ask every once in a while if I've felt anything..but they are okay.. they just wanted to know why.. I tell them it's one of nature's secrets to keep us learning about life!

Glad you're all fine! I didn't feel a thing in NW Indiana but some of my co-workers said it woke them up with their beds shaking.

I'm glad you were safe. My BIL lives just over the border of Illinois. He felt it also. I remember clearly what I felt when I was in CA in 1994. I was just as scared as your son snd I was an adult. We couldn't get out of CA fast enough.
Well I just hope you stay safe.
