Hey Mom, Check out my new Spider-Man move! (Last day & Final Thoughts - 1/10)

I'm here! (finally!)

Great start!

I love that you have a Darth Vader voice on your Tom Tom! Wish we had a Tom Tom now....

How frustrating that your dinner took 2 hours! :scared1:

Can't wait for more...

The best way to take a road trip! ::yes::

I worry about my posts having spelling issues, too. My N started coming off a while back, followed by an occasional jumping off of the A, and now the S wants to be like its neighbor. Right now, they are all behaving nicely, but when they all act up at once, it is just silly trying to type. I am browsing around for new laptops now, as that is not the only issue with this one, but want to hold off as long as I can. I am cheap like that.

Looking forward to the big arrival at Kidani! :dance3:

For the kids yes! For some reason, I can't really sleep in the car.

Those pesky letters coming off the keyboards. Mine was perfect until Cooper got a hold of it. Gotta love him though. He came directly to me and fessed up.

We'll get to Kidani, eventually. ;)

I love road trips!!!!! Lol. Especially the ones going to WDW!! :) Great update!

Disney road trips are the best. It also helps for us that we have two kids that travel really well. They don't really argue with each other while travelling. At home is a different story though.

Cool update.. I have to admit... seeing your pictures of the long drive over makes me dread the next time we have to drive... we are getting spoiled with flying.. I've asked Alisa to check into airfare for mardi gras...

Thanks! You know our feelings on driving. We like it though. Hope yall find a great rate.

Great pics from the car! And also of that florida sign…that must’ve been soo exciting! 2 hours for dinner?! I bet you’re wishing you did things your way! LOL! Glad your hotel was nice…and that there was a Cracker Barrel there! Can’t wait to see if your plans hold strong! LOL!

Thanks! It's always fun to see that sign. However, that also means we were on the longest part of the trip.

I was ready to scream at that table. 2 hours is just unreasonable.

The hotel really was nice. We would definitely stay there again.

Good update. 2 hours for dinner, I would be pulling my hair out! Yay for being in Florida!

Glad you're back! I subbed to your TR today. I can't wait to hear how things went for your trip. I'm certain Randy is dying to hear about your thoughts on BLT as well.

He's pretty cool. Bryan wants to download the other Star Wras voices now too. I think Yoda would be pretty cool.

Dinner...sucked.

Randy since you guys fly all the time...I have always heard that the prices out of NO is the best for Mardi Gras and Jazzfest...trying to fill the empty planes. We drive all the time, too! but, we keep saying that now that we plan to travel w/o the older kids we are going to fly. I know we will never want to go back to driving after that!

Love the sleeping position that Sam chose...I don't know how kids sleep in the positions they are able to. 2hours for dinner:scared1: sounds like our night at Cracker Barrel for Dayne's graduation (yes, we went to CB not many resturants open late in Hammond and with over 300 kids in the class we figured no wait--haha). Danny does not like Red Lobster either same reason you noted! Too bad you guys didn't think about just continuing to Lke City it sounds like the same time difference...next year!

:wave2: Connie

BTW how are you guys doing own there?!? any horrible orders yet? a few people down in St Charles have been complaining. But, Danny said he has not noticed anything on the West Bank.

We got everything we needed in the room for the night. We had packed an overnight bag. Unfortunately, Madeline did not do the same and did not tell Bryan that when he acked the truck. She informed Bryan that she needed the entire suitcase, so he had to unpack the truck to get to her bag. Not frustrating at all.

We were all in bed a little after 11. The boys could not decide where to sleep. At first Sam wanted to slee on the chair and ottoman. Cooper wanted to sleep in the hallway by the mirror in his sleeping bag. Eventually, they both ended up in the bed with Bryan. That, I knew, would not end up well. Neither of my boys sleep still.

I tossed and turned for most of the night. My phone was set to ring at 5 for us all to get up. I finally got tired of looking at the clock at 4:30, so I got up and took my time getting ready since everyone would be up later. I finished right at 5 and proceeded to wake up Madeline first. I then started trying to get the boys to wake up as well. After Cooper got dressed, he gave me a very tired web sling.

Sam was just happy that we were going to be at Kidani shortly.

I left Bryan alone for as long as I could since I figured he had a restless night. Once he got up, I realized I had not taken pictures of the room.

The boys kept himself busy while Bryan got ready. Cooper sat at the desk and drew on the notepad. Sam listened to music on my ipod.

We left the room after making sure everything was packed up. When we were sure we weren't leaving anything behind, we headed downstairs to drop the keys in the box. We brought our bags back to the truck, but we went back inside to wait in the lobby for Stacey, Sonny, and the girls to meet up with us. Cooper had to go to the bathroom, so I brought him to the restroom. While in there, he asked if we could take a picture together. I obliged.

I came back to find Bryan and Sam waiting on the couch.

The boys wanted to run around and play, but it was about a quater to 6 at that point. Not a whole lot of people were awake obviously. I let them just sit on the stairs to quiet them for a while. You'll notice a theme appearing in the pictures now.

It slowly got closer to 6. I began wondering if Stacey would be downstairs in time.

So, did we get to Cracker Barrel by 6?

They have the strangest sleeping positions. I don't understand how they can do it.

Cracker Barrel is awesome. I would likely pick it on that night as well if I were looking for a place without a wait.

Yeah. If we would have continued on, we would have gotten to Lake City by about 8:30. At a normal place, we would have only been there for an hour. It would have probably ended up being faster that way. We'll see how things pan out for next year.

We're fine. I know the oild has come in down the bayou for us. Madeline goes to Cocodrie for her shifts right now as an EMT to assist the medical needs of the workers. She says that you can see some oil every once in a while down there. I haven't noticed any strange odors over here. I am outside with the boys every morning right now for swimming lessons in Dularge, and I don't notice anything there either. Thanks for asking!

Great updates!!:thumbsup2

Aww...your boys are so cute!!:goodvibes Yay! for being in Florida! You got some great pictures along the way! I can't believe your dinner took 2 hours.:sad2: Hope everything goes smoothly and you make it to the Cracker Barrel by 6.popcorn::

you sound like us; always waiting on someone (usually not long but still a wait)...
cute pictures while waiting, that is always a great way to pass the time

I just reread my last post and you were worried about your spelling...this new laptop seems to have sticky keys  or I just need to learn to type :rotfl:

Cute picture of you and Cooper in the bathroom. I thought it was pretty funny that he wanted a picture of the two of you in there!
