Hey Maggie (or other drywall tape experts)

I found a huge roll of drywall tape in my Dh's workshop and I promptly snagged it for my sb stash. So, now how do I go about coloring it? I have stamps and markers. Or would I need paint?

Also, how exactly how would I attach the tape to my lo's?
