Hey Look! Pixar Play Parade Pictures! (Picture Heavy)

I would say that a few of those are modified floats from the Eureka! parade when DCA first opened, I think one or two may be modified versions BPB floats that didn't get sent over as well, would definitely make sense to reuse what they can.

Wasn't this just a soft opening? I think it officially premieres on the 14th. I could be wrong, maybe that's why McQueen was missing and the Toy Story dancer/gymnasts weren't harnessed up or moving more.

Great pics! Fire-spitting JackJack looks amazing. Also, the Buzz dancers are adorable.

i hope so, the parade looks really really empty... like not a lot of people dancing and making fun with the crowd. :|

Thanks for the awesome pics, Albort! We will be going in June, and I know the kids will love it. We will miss BPB, though. My ds recently took the ball he got from BPB on our last visit to the mall and promptly lost it. He is majorly bummed.

I will have to get video of the new parade.

It looks okay. I'm not a huge parade fan though. Plus, I haven't seen A Bugs Life, Monsters Inc, or Ratatoullie (sp?)

he's a caterpillar. i don't believe caterpillars can do that. if he were an earthworm, maybe.

it's just typical disney, i think they did it for the shock value.

still, even in pieces, he's better than how he appeared in BPB

Maybe you can answer this Albort- how are they planning doing the AP preview on Thursday? Are they just planning on kicking everyone out of the boardwalk, then readmitting AP holders? Since they already did this preview, I'm thinking it was just a fancy way of getting us excited for it...

The kids and I saw it yesterday. My kids usually aren't interested in parades as they get bored pretty quickly but this one kept their attention the entire time. We loved it!!!! I believe all the characters/floats were there. Two of my kids really loved the shooting water. I think it would be a big hit during the summer.

no, i doubt it. Probably just allow the APs to watch it along with guest. Make the APs feel special. Like we have a CM preview except they are putting us as crowds to record for the media. but that one for sure is a private screening is what the paper said.

We saw it yesterday! It wasn't in the daily times guide, but we saw the CMs setting up the parade route so I asked if they were having it. Yes! It was great fun!!! We loved it. And I am not usually a person who watches parades! This one was fun.
