Hey! July 30th, 2005 cruise to Mexico DISfriends!

Lynn and Jenny will be meeting tonight, and it is because of these
DIS boards, and JoAnn starting the thread.....this is the greatest!

Tonight Jenny and Lynn will be in Lisa, Liz, and macbaby's territory.

Tomorrow comes Lucy and there is someone else, who?

Californians: one by one, we WILL be there.

Even though "she" [Jenny] won't read this, YES, Bob is ready to pack!
Lucy and Tyler are getting nervous about the flight.

Today the "teenager" must pack - oh, yea, he got a haircut...not to my liking,
but believe me, it is better...everyone, please make Bryan feel comfortable, he IS a very nice kid, but SO SHY - that is why he wants to have long hair, h he is just so shy to look at people, and meet them. THANKS. Believe me,
Tyler is NOT like that. ON SATURDAY, our sailing, is Bryan's 19th birthday!

I know I'm supposed to travel light....but with "business-casual" every night for dinner, pirate clothes, formal, semi formal, jeans for horseback riding, swimsuits, sweaters for the cold evenings, shoes for everything, undies, socks, plus all the regular t-shirts and shorts....all this times SIX!! people (because, as the MOM, I pack for everyone!). This is going to be a busy week for me!

Lara-I feel your's and JoAnn's pain too! I had a full panick attack yesterday because of the packing and multi outfits deal too...and I only have to pack for 4 so I can only IMAGINE the terror your feeling. Eh, before you know we'll all be on the deck enjoying ourselves. Hang tough, packers!!!!

Hi everyone
Loving it here in LA....met Jenny at the game last night she is lovely, and so are her son and daughter, her daughter was so cute dressed in a reds uniform. Had fun at the game although we only saw half of it. We were given annual passes for unviversal yesterday so if any of you west coast folk could use them please let me know on the cruise so I can hand them to you.
Going to the beach today see you all soon..

Started the packing last night, got most of my stuff done, had to run out for laundry soap to finish the rest of the wash. The girls are on their own, so that part is easy, they are just fighting over who gets the suitcase and who gets the big duffle bag, oh well if there is something to fight about, they will find it. But I am not letting the little things stress me out, as far as I am concerned the mind is already there even if the body isn't.

Our thread is getting quieter, as families leave one by one for the west coast. Like I said, we are bringing the laptop, so we will keep on posting as long as we can.

LESS THAN 48 HOURS TILL WE LEAVE. 2 MORE DAYS OF WORK!!!!

Hi,

I'm checking my email at the Coronado Library. We're having a wonderful time here in paradise. I can't wait until we move back here next year! We're going to the Padres game tonight. It will be our first visit to the new ballpark. Our flight out here was fairly uneventful. A warning to anyone flying Southwest...they are now weighing all of your checked baggage so be sure you don't exceed the 50lb per bag limit. We brought 4 large bags for this trip even though we were entitled to check 3 bags each. 2 of our 4 bags were over the weight limit so we had to redistribute items and purchase an "emergency bag" from Southwest to comply with weight guidelines. It was like a scene from A&E's Airline show. I was just waiting for a producer to step out from a back room to get us to sign a release so they could show me repacking my shoes and underwear on national television. We head to Disneyland via Amtrak tomorrow afternoon. See you all on Saturday!

Kathy - That must have been quite amusing. I have done that myself. I think all the airlines are like that now, I know Continental and Delta both are, as well as American. I am up to about 41.5 lbs in one of my suitcases, I keep weighing it to make sure. Glad you are enjoying CA so far. Like I said the best is yet to come!!!

Just checked weather . com and it says our days in Maz and PV thunder storms. Cabo is sunny and 97. Leave tomorrow for DL.

Lucy's in California...she called me around noon. They were standing outside DL when she called. Their room wasn't ready at the GC yet but she said she loved being "right there" for the parks. She sounds happy and I can't wait to meet to her and everyone else.

I have heard about the thunderstorms in PV and MAZ. We may cancel our Pirate Sail trip...we'll see.

Everyone...have a safe trip out here, I'm starting to feel abandoned!

Ok, I'm done packing, WHEW! After 3 panic attacks and complete exhaustion, we are almost ready!! Now we need to set all the alarms in the house! Looking forward to arriving in California and the cruise! I can't wait to sit in one of the loungers on Deck 9 and just veg!!! Best wishes to all as the next round travels. I will bring the laptop and try to check in as the end of the week nears ....See you real soon!!!
