We do leave Thursday for Pacific Palisades.

The weather has been pretty rough. I believe they said on the News last night that there has been 19 heat related deaths so far. It is very sad, but also very preventable.

Well, if you insist...... ::yes::

DISmeet in Scoops at 10pm!!!

By now Lynn is asleep and soon will begin her journey! Just in case she checks one more time......

So the "rents" and I were on Ocean City, NJ boardwalk tonight plotting and planning our "brown bags"....lots of great ideas were thrown around.....just one week and one day from tonight folks!!! :hyper2:

There is nothing like summer!! :sunny:

Hi All,

We'll be heading for the airport in a few hours. We're flying Southwest. I just printed out our boarding passes. Does anyone know if Guest Services will print boarding passes after 12:01 am on the last night of the cruise? I posted this question on the cruise line forum but I might be taking off before I get an answer. If one of you knows or sees the answer posted please let me know at our Dis Meet. I'm not taking my laptop with me and I don't plan to check e-mail for 2 weeks! I did just read on the "Live from the Magic" thread that if you bring your wireless-capable laptop you can get free internet acess onboard. Thanks.

Kathy

Lucy - No problem. That doesn't sound like a bad idea with the laundry, rather than having all our stuff smell like c**p when we get home. Maybe those of us who are doing Randi's can all throw the stuff in one load and get it done. I will check into that when I get on board. Thanks again for the suggestion.

By this time Lynn and Kathy and families are already on their way to CA, we do hope they have a nice and safe flight. :wave2: I can't believe it is only 1 week away till we all meet. I think it is going to be a great vacation!!

I hope that is true about the free wireless internet onboard, that would totally solve my dilema about whether to purchase the unlimited internet access onbard, save a few $$$. :bounce:

Thank you so much for the recipes, LiserAnn. They sound yummy. Today, DH is making breakfast for everyone. He has recently decided he likes cooking and there are a couple things he has "perfected," one of which is something he and his siblings used to have on special occations in his family many years ago. So we are havings DH's blintzes for breakfast this morning....I'm just happy he is going to do the cooking for a change....hehehe.

If I don't get to your recipes this weekend, I will be sure to use them for my morning playgroups. They sound perfect! Thanks!

Isn't it exciting we might have wireless internet while we cruise? It would be so great to be able to post updates and a few pictures of our trip on our blog while we are travelling. I don't think that would have been a a possibility with just the computers in the internet cafe, but I bet we could do it from our laptop! WooHoo!!

By the way, our blog is at www.garrabrant.com

Hey, I don't care if they charge me, I'm just so excited to have wireless available - hope hope hope. I am going to Verizon today to add Mexico to my plan. Unfortunately I have to keep in touch with work that week.

Debi-That sounds like a great idea to share a machine (thanks for the suggestion Lucy). I'm bringing Tide with Downy in it, we can use if if that's OK for everyone. I wasn't planning on doing laundry but am brining the soap "just in case". I know when Ryan comes home from horseback riding lessons, he really does reek....I make him undress in the laundry room and straight into the bath!!! So, I'm sure we'll all be a lovely smelling bunch....we may need a few margs to get over the smell!

For those of you who haven't read it on the live thread...here's what DisneyTart wrote about the wireless internet stuff.....

Okay - here is the scoop!!! If I had a laptop that I could use with wireless I would BRING IT! Talked to a guy this morning who opened up his laptop to do work on the first day and found he had an internet signal He still needed to register and get a user name & password. The guy I talked with signed a couple papers got his internet name & password and has been on lline through his own laptop the entire cruise!!!! A few glitches though he can only get a signal on deck 9 & 10, Promenade Lounge (Right next to internet cafe) and Atrium area. But he is on his own laptop. So far this is not an advertised service, CM Danielle offered it to me also but I didn't bring a laptop with me. CM Danielle at the "prebooking for your next cruise booth" is also the internet person.

when you return from those horses....I'll be on the other end of the
ship - ppppp uuuuuuu!
Hate to tell you but when we sailed before and Bob did the horses,
it wasn't even in the summertime, it was in the fall!

Lara - the blintzes sound wonderful.....HEY, my breakfast on the Magic,
every single morning, is Mickey Waffles - I can't wait!

I'm babysitting right now for the most beautiful little 2 yr. old girl -
I'm in my "glory" right now....guess I better go....talk to you all later.

Lisa - you are definitely my kind of girl. Sounds like a plan. :teeth:

Lucy - You'll probably still be able to smell us from there!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Kathy-I remember awhile ago someone asked the same question and a previous SW flier said they had to get online in the internet cafe to print out their boarding passes. They said they paid the minute charge and were in and out of there pretty fast. Hope that helps....safe trip, Godspeed! See you on the other end. :cool1:

I was just thinking....once everyone starts flying out west next week it's going to get R E A L quiet on this thread, how depressing! Each day a few more of you will drop off and it will be quieter and quieter. I guess myself, kndyglr and macbaby will have to keep the thread alive.

Well, if I don't get to it now, I'll forget....I just wanted to wish everyone a safe trip out to California! I hope you all enjoy your stays before the cruise, I know many of you are doing different things and I look forward to meeting you guys....wait, where were we meeting? Oh that's right that ice cream :mickeybar place, how could I forget! :rolleyes2

Mark and the kids went fishing, sooooo I have toooo much time on my hands. Anyway, I called DCL today and these are the movies that are playing on our cruise:

A Lot Like Love
Brother Bear
Finding Nemo
Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Herbie Fully Loaded
Ice Princess
Incredibles
Ladder 49
National Treasure
The Pacifier
Princess Diaries 2
Pooh's Hepfalump (can't spell it) Movie
Pirates of the Caribbean
and one other movie that I couldn't understand what she was saying.......

I've seen Princess Diaries 2 one too many times.....we saw the
PREMIERE on the ship and then we bought the DVD - we LOVE
watching it. I DO want to see Herbie, even if I must watch Lindsay
Lohan (sorry). Bob wants to see Willy Wonka, but he "ain't" gonna see
that one on a Disney ship!

I was thinking the same thing about next week, Lisa. Just gonna be
you California folks to chat with each other....I won't have access to
a computer next week (and MAYBE that's a good thing!).

Because I was chatting too much on these boards, I burned the
grilled cheese for the kids (only LUCY can do that....my DH will laugh
when he reads this from work today...he KNOWS I can't make a grilled
cheese or an egg to save my life).

Lisa - that was too funny! (hi bob!) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

gotta go change a diaper.....haven't done that in a very long time. :scared1:

Hey all remaining 7/30ers!! I am going to bring my laptop to Cali so I'll try to check in each day before the cruise. I don't think I can take advantage of the wireless situation onboard, because I don't know if this laptop is wireless. Does anyone know how this works? I may sound stupid to ask this question but.....do you have to set up a special program or what? If you know, let me know...... :confused3

Just for you Lisa.... :jumping1:

Scoops at 10pm.....7/30!! :hourglass

:rolleyes2 I can't stop!!!
