Lucy - I think Lynn and Keith go back across the pond today.

We are probably not going to do the theater with you guys in January, but I am sure we can make arrangements to meet for dinner maybe.

Also, as far as trips next year, if we are doing the Med, which is a big IF, all other trips are probably out. So I don't think Chicago will be in the cards for me. I am trying to get to Annaheim in February for the CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) big convention, which I have never been to. Wanted to go last year, but with all the trips to WDW, it was not doable, so I am trying to go this year. I have not been to one since I opened the store, and it would be really beneficial to my business, but like I said, if we do the Med, all other trips are out.

The weather has been so weird here today, rain and thunder, then the some comes out, then the skies get dark and open up again.

Well, enjoy the rest of your w/e everyone.

Debi

Hey Lucy! Went shopping AGAIN today to buy Jess's Fall Dance dress....found two so we're set for the junior prom, too! I found a great sale at Macy's....wwhhooopppeee............

So, Jenny, you're off until the day after Halloween??? Who planned that!! Do you go back on 11/1.....yikes! As I said I have mine the week of Thxgiving...that's when Tara will come home for the w/e... :goodvibes

Where is Kathy??? Still in LV?? We need a trip report!! Hopefully we will hear from Lynn about her week and her reflections about NYC. We're really sorry about the accent jokes, we had such a blast with you!!!! WE MUST PLAN next summer's excursions! Don't forget everyone, what a great excursion planner, Lynn is!!! :artist:

Blustery day here, rainy, then nice and now windy....Tara was mentioning to me.........THAT SHE'S THINKING ABOUT GOING TO THE BEACH TODAY!!! :guilty:

we can only dream, can't we!

Very, very windy tonight. My family wedding is over, and I'm feeling guilty for dreading it so much - it was so good to see my cousins (we grew up as sisters, since I was an only child)....one cousin here from Oakland, CA; one cousin here from San Diego, one cousin here from Pittsburgh, and the other from near Phillly.....we really did have a nice time. We DID need to stop at Panera Bread before the reception, though...we were starving and the reception only included appetizers and open bar (yes, Ms. Jenny, I had at least 3 wines tonight). Tomorrow afternoon Tyler must perform in a concert, which will take all afternoon, and Bob works, not ONE dull moment this weekend. At least we get that extra hour of sleep.

Where IS that Kathy....either she won alot of money in the casinos, or she didn't :lmao: :confused3 :lmao: :confused3 :lmao: :confused3 :lmao:

Lynn....a report, please.

We're home more later long flight delays very tired Thanks everyone we had a ball!!!

Welcome home, Lynn!

Kathy??

We FROZE ourselves today, Jess played three "college showcase" games near York, PA....it was about 50 degrees with extreme wind gusts.........all I can say is Jess better remember today when she's deciding whether or not to put me in a home one day!!! :sad2: :crazy2:

Hope all are well....Jenny did one of your teams win the World Series??? :woohoo:

Lynn - Glad you guys are back safe and sound. Hope Disney was a blast!

Lucy - You are becoming the real lush now, aren't you :woohoo: :rotfl2:

Yesterday I drove up to Fairfield, CT for an open house with one of the distributors I deal with. I was like a kid in a candy store, finding all cool stuff to buy for the store. The ride up and back was pretty smooth, no traffic, thank God! Otherwise, that ride can be murder! Then I came home and got to watch the Jets lose to the lowly Browns. But they got ROBBED! The refs refused to review the last play, which would have been a TOUCHDOWN because Carter was pushed out of the end zone, they would have tied the game and gone into OT! VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!

Anyway, the winds have died down today, it was quite windy this w/e, wonder if that attributed to any of Lynn and Keith's delay getting home. Anyway, Lynn, when you are ready we need a full trip report!

Oh and Kathy, I see that Ted is beating my butt in FF right now, but I still have Brady tonight and Chester Taylor (MIN) as my running back, knowing they are opposite sides of the field, I hope they both have good games, I only need 35 points... :rotfl2: Hey, you never know!

Have a great day all!

Oh and Disdaddy, what happened with those Eagles yesterday? McNabb is my QB in one of my other leaques, and he has been amazing, yesterday....not much :confused3
Debi

WB Lynn! I hope you enjoyed your first MNSSHP!! Did you have too many "traffic cones" to eat???? :lmao:

Debi ~ The NFL is really a joke sometimes just for the reason you mentioned. We got the sc#$%s in Tampa. We sacked the QB, knocked the ball loose, recovered the fumble and were flagged for "roughing the QB". It's kind of tough to sack him and not tackle him!! We now refer to it as "cuddling the QB"!!!! :smooth: It was then that they took the ball on down to the 1 and got the review to get a TD at the end. YOu needed that review just like they did!

JoAnn ~ We have a two day fall break each year. Our teacher's association recommends the dates which always fall around Halloween. We like to be off on Halloween (much easier than fighting it!), but this year for some reason we didn't. I like the Fri-Mon which gives us two four day weeks!!! We always do night conferences previous, so we get a comp 1/2 day the day before. So, I got off at 11:30 on THursday, and we go back tomorrow!

Kathy ~ How was LV???? I am so anxious to hear!

Lucy ~ So, three wines. YOu might be able to keep up with me someday! NOT!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

I went to the IU/Michigan State game Saturday with Mallory and JOhn. We WON BIG!! One more win and we actually might get a bowl bid!!! :cheer2: It was Mark's birthday, so we drove to Cincy to meet him and Marshall for dinner. Yes, ribs and Greater's ice cream Lucy (eat your heart out!!). We had a girl refered to us for a babysitter on Sunday, so her parents brought her to the Hyatt and Mark, John and I went to see the Bengals game (Vick is a STUD!!!).

With being off today we stayed the night. The kids and I left town around 10:30, however my spouse wasn't even out of bed. He had a rough night!! :joker: He came home at 4:30 and went BACK to bed!!!! I am going to drag him out here soon and make him take me out to eat!! popcorn::

Happy Daylight SAving time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KATHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Where are you??? :guilty:

Sounds like we all had another full w/e!! I thought someone actually got robbed as I was scanning your post, Debs!!! These weekends away are killing me!! HOW DO YOU DO IT, JENNYYYYYY??? Next weekend we have to Wallkill NY for ANOTHER soccer tournament, but we're staying with Ken's brother in the mountains which should be fun! There is an amazing outlet mall there which I will be exploring!!

Jen, I hope you enjoyed your break (and conferences!) :rotfl2: I'm not sure who was worse the excited kids or the cranky teachers, today.....I went to school in a groggy but good mood AND EVERYONE WAS YELLING AT ME ALL DAY! What was that about?? I hear ya, Lucyyyyy, teacher are miserable and demanding sometimes!!! :teacher: Not me, of course, I'm never like that! :rotfl: :thumbsup2 :cool1: Tomorrow, I will wear my favorite sweatershirt, it has a Halloween theme, Pooh & friends dressed in costumes and the quote, "They were a spooky bunch, but hopeful about treats!" It is so whimsical, I love it! It made me excited about Halloween. I get depressed every year, now b/c my kids grew up and I used to love this holiday with them. I told Tracy that one of them should have a baby or something ....
:dance3: :sad2: I know, I'm nuts!

JoAnn - Yeah, but let them get married first. We are still too young to be grandmas!

Jenny - LOL "cuddling the QB", that sounds like something Lynn might say.

Well it looks like the Disney Darlins came back for a win against those Tedskins. :dance3: Sorry Ted, thank you Tom Brady. Now it's on to the Speagles. Be afraid Disdaddy, Disney Darlins are making a run for the playoffs. :cheer2: :cheer2: But the B-Town Bombers could be the big pothole along the way, now I am afraid!

Lynn - Alex and her friends are going to the Haunted House tonight. Micco's not going cause it's way past his bedtime (11:30) and me I'm just plain chicken!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! :scared1:

okay can't do a really long report as I'm washing and repacking for a 2 night stay with my year 4 children on the isle of wight.
But I couldn't let it go until the weekend without telling you something about our trip.
Overall we had a great experience
Dining highs were Coral Reef, Le Cellier, Tony's for table service and counter service Wolfgang Pucks express, Cosmic Rays, Tusker House and Flame Tree BBQ. We also ate at Prime Time Cafe, Liberty Tree Tavern, Whispering Canyon Cafe and Roaring Forks. All were ok but a big issue for us was the way we were rushed through the meal with entrees arriving before appetisers had been eaten and desserts having to be ordered at the start of the meal...yes we were on the meal plan but we hadn't expected to have food thrown at us...our biggest disappointment was dinner in the castle the lack of service and the way we were treated rubbed away a lot of the magic....however we were seated at a table in the window and watched the fireworks from our seats a totally different perspective and one we really enjoyed.
The Halloween Party was everything we had expected and then some the parade was tremendous, fireworks great, rides walk ons, lines for characters and candy not too bad and we did all we'd planned and more. Had loads of photopass pics taken so we'll share the link with you at some time even our pal Mickey enjoyed it he was dressed up as a pirate. Collected 3 full bags of candy one has gone to work with me for the staff not the kids! One went with keith and the last one we are using as trick or treat sweets for the few children that are catching on to your traditions in this country.
We also got tickets for the Halloween Hay Ride great fun!
We rode Everest 4 times, went on the new Nemo ride and tasted food from the booths in the Food and Wine festival. All the characters were keen to interact with us and Pal Mickey and we had some great moments...Keith had a magical moment all the alarm clocks went off in the jewellers on Main street He turned them all off and then all the staff started clapping him and saying he had turned off the magical moment alarm he got a certificate and a pin, also on the Rn R Coaster we rode once and at the end stopped for a quick picture before leaving the ride area when a cast member asked if we'd like to ride again and popped us back on through a back door when the CM saw us come in that way she said congratualaions and put us right at the front of the next ride.
We enjoyed lazing in the pool so much at the WL we never made it to a water park so that's still on our to do list.
Our flight home was very delayed so we spent around 7 hours in Newark airport I would have called Deb but your number was in my checked luggage!!!!
I'm sure there's more to tell but that's all for now folks.
Jenny sorry we couldn't catch up with you, next time we must meet up somehow...BTW even without his computer that son of yours is lethal at FF 154 points this week I got a good score 95 and was still slaughtered. I think you Americans are ganging up on me I'm not doing so well anymore but take a look at the overall points against and mine is the highest it seems whenever anyone plays me they have their best week.... oh well I've got Joann and Bill still to play maybe I can redeem myself!!!
Deb tell Alex I'll be with her in Spirit.....
We loved our day in NYC and seeing everyone, Thanks agasin for making our visit so special it was great seeing the city with other people and not just being on the tourist circuit..BTW i got Bunny pictures at WDW to go with my Squirrels!!
speak to you again soon
Lynn

Tell Micco The dentures story will cause a upsurge in tourism on the Staten island ferry everyone wants to see a seagull carrying dentures!

Patrick wasn't working on our night there but our server said she'd tell him we asked for him.

You were having TOO MUCH fun without us!
I loved the pictures - thank you....AND, the frog shirt made it in the pictures! :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Hey Lynn, I hope you forgive me.........but we had sooooooooo much fun with u & Keith!!!!!!!! I hope you did too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all, I LOVE HALLOWEEN, we've had 66 trick or treaters so far........... :rotfl:

Let's plan Chicago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Just returned from Trick or Treating with M&M. I am telling you they were so wired I liked to never get them to sleep!! My kids at school were wound up today too! I am sending you all via e-mail a pix of the kids in their WDW costumes that "Mickey" sent home with us......Mark is SO WEAK!! He HAD to buy them costumes down there!!!

We actually have a weekend at home, but after this WOW!! Mark has decided that we are going to his parents for Thanksgiving... pirate: We are staying in a hotel though...too many people in one house gives me the creeps!!! :rolleyes1

Get this...my Hoosiers have a chance at a bowl game and one of the bowls in the running is in ORLANDO!!!!! Mark has told me that if they make a bowl, he will take me if I want. The other bowl sites we are in the running for are in Detroit, El Paso, and Tempe... :yay: Speaking of my Hoosiers....John Mellencamp performed before the game the new song he has "Our Country". It's the song you hear on the Chevy commercials on TV. It was so cool. They put the words up on the Jumbotron and the whole stadium was singing it!!! He is very popular here since he lives in town and the football indor practice field is also named after him. What a great opening to a game!

Happy November!!!!

DisDaddy is sure taunting a lot....he must be learning from having T.O. on his FF team.

Lynn - Great trip report and wonderful pictures. I am glad you guys got to have some Magical Moments while in WDW. All those pictures would give me a headache though, they are all great, and I would be broke deciding which ones to buy. It was a little hard to look at the pictures of you guys with the mouse, as you never got the chance to take a shot with Our Mouse. Maybe someday, though.

JoAnn - I can't believe you counted all those trick or treaters. Let's see, we had 5! No one comes around our house except to make mischief. I really would like to live in a place someday that my pumpkin can survive to see the light of day on November 1st. Once again, pumpkin smashed in the street, along with the required eggs and shaving cream. Yes Lynn, the other part of Halloween that you thankfully didn't get to see, the mischief!

Jenny - I still miss the days of trick or treating when my kids were young, Halloween just isn't the same, especially since we don't get a lot of kids.

Where is Kathy???????????????????? :confused3

Debi

Hey fellow trick or treaters, final count was about 90, it didn't seem like that much because they came over 2 hours. Ken & I had fun, we used the fog machine for them. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :happytv:

What trip report??? Lynn??? :Pinkbounc

Kathy???? :guilty: How was Halloween??

I know my FF manager is trash talking on the NFL site, I have no idea what's going on with that! :confused3

Sounds good, Jenny, we are still waiting to here if Ken's parents are having Thxgiving, but they did call for a head count so I guess we're in!

Hope all are well, Happy November!! :wave2:

JoAnn ~ I kept the lights out to avoid the Trick or Treaters! Someday when my kids are out of the mood to do trick or treating, I'll stand at the door like you guys and pass out candy! I did go to the door when it was still light and we were home for a little "Sully" and "Elvis"! I loved both of their costumes. I couldn't resist that little "Sully" who wasn't more than 4 years old! ;)

Where IS Kathy???????????? :confused3 :confused3 I am anxious to hear about LV and especially Jimmy Buffett!!!! :cloud9:

I wonder if Lynn has recovered??? :sunny:

So, DisDaddy has quieted down. Where is the trash talkin' dude??? :smokin:

Lucy??? YOu out there? How's it going with you?? It's getting close to the musical, right??? I bet you guys are whipped!!! :dance3:

Debi ~ It's funny you mentioned the pumpkins. I don't think anyone has ever done that to us, however it does happen. We just don't get that very often. Ours are still sitting on the porch........
